The Acropolis View Hotel comes highly recommended for its variety of delicious breakfast options and its prime location, a stone's throw from the Acropolis and Plaka. While the bustling location may contribute to some noise, many guests feel the panoramic Acropolis vistas more than compensate. The hotel's cleanliness and friendly service are often highlighted, with particular commendation for the attentive staff.
Although some guests find the value debatable, with a few considering it pricey, the overall atmosphere—with its cozy charm and local flavors—receives glowing reviews. However, be mindful that while rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and comfort, they may feel snug to some.

Detailed Reviews
After booking and re-booking hotel rooms near the Acropolis, I finally decided upon the Acropolis View Hotel. It was conveniently located near a short walking distance from Subway Station Acropoli Metro #2 (next to the Acropolis Museum). The hotel sits at the foot of the Acropolis facing the Odeon of Herodes Atticus (amphitheater). It is still used today; however, it is still used today and we could hear the orchestra from the hotel terrace. The view of the Acropolis from this terrace was priceless. Breakfast each morning was served at this location and the combination of view and taste was remarkable. The staff was amazing and helped with our every need and the small bar in the lobby provided cool adult beverages each night for sitting out on the top floor admiring the view and enjoying my beautiful wife's companionship. The price of the room was so reasonable that we upgraded to a room with a balcony view. We will stay there again if we make it back to Athens.

I had a very comfortable three night stay at the end of January. This hotel is well located for access to both the Acropolis Museum (fabulous!) and the Acropolis hill. There are some nice little restaurants within easy walking distance too.
I had booked a single room. This was very cosy and the bathroom even cosier, but both were clean and serviced each day. There was even a tea/coffee tray in the room, which you don't often see in European hotels. Wifi worked well and the television had a couple of English speaking channels.
Breakfast was a reasonable spread. Enough of a selection to suit all tastes and certainly enough to set you up for a good day's sightseeing.
Staff were pleasant and helpful too, so really no complaints here either.
Recommended, if for nothing else other than that glorious view from the rooftop terrace, to be enjoyed with a cold drink from the bar at the end of your day in Athens.

I needed a break, and with so many Coronavirus restrictions and generally bad news, it made me want to take a break. I chose Athens and the Acropolis View Hotel. It was an excellent decision!
I was greeted warmly at the reception, and everyone took the Coronavirus precautions very seriously. My room was immediately adjacent a hand sanitation dispenser, and the room was meticulously clean.
QR codes placed in the room made it easy to preorder breakfast, which could be served either in the room or on the rooftop. 30 minute intervals were allotted and even with this there was no rush. The food was delicious and plentiful. The views were truly amazing.
It is hard to believe that a hotel of this superior caliber is available for anything close to what they were asking for a stay. Without a doubt, this is a 5 star level experience. I am very pleased to fully recommend the Acropolis View Hotel. I can't wait to return.

Great location to visit all the major sites in Athens. Everyone has already raved about the 5th floor rooftop terrace (yes, wonderful but could use a good scrubbing).
Definitely booked an Acropolis view room. We were in 407 and had a little balcony. Fridge is very cold, shower pressure is very good and never had an issue with hot water. Safe, kettle, tea and coffee fixings. Wifi strong in the room but not on 5th floor terrace. Not sure how well the a/c would work during hot months, barely cooled the room in October. Reception staff extremely helpful. They provided a map and circled all the major sites and neighbourhoods. Delicious lemonade available in the lobby.
If you turn right as you exit the hotel and walk about three blocks you'll find a convenience store that sells snacks, beer wine and sodas. Keep in mind the hotel has a lovely bar area for sunset drinks as well and provides snacks with the drinks.
If you turn left when you exit the hotel and then left again at the corner (look for Daniel Webster plaque on wall), in about three blocks you'll come to the Acropolis restaurant. There'll likey be an elderly gentleman sitting outside inviting you in. We had a lovely quiet meal there. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our holiday in Greece, using it as a base to do a whistle stop tour of Athens with our two teen daughters. The hotel rooms were perfectly comfortable and clean; the rooftop terrace for breakfast had just stunning views and breakfasts (pre ordered still due to covid) were delicious - we had yogurts, mini pancakes, selection of fruit and croissants plus you can squeeze your own fresh orange juice or make a whole variety of hot drinks! But the location really was the highlight - well, for us, as we wanted to do the Acropolis and the museum and Thissio. All were within 5 mins walk which was amazing. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, ordering us taxis and even ordering our breakfast one morning when we forgot! Definitely worth going here if you are in Athens.

We arrived in Athens the day before the city went into proper lockdown. This hotel was by far the most careful and hygiene conscious of any place we stayed in. Even the keycards are sterilised. The staff went out of their way to be helpful to us bearing in mind the following day we were not allowed to leave our room!
The breakfast was truly fantastic. I was really taken aback at how much was provided and the quality of the food. The only thing I would say is the coffee was undrinkable. I asked if we could replace our drinks with tea and there was no hesitation.
The rooms are definitely small (only if you are in fact required to stay in your room all day!) but we had a balcony with the most fabulous view of the acropolis. In addition, there is the large terrace on the top of hotel where we had our breakfast.
The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The location of the hotel is really great if you can see the sights. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the nearby streets. We could only order take away given lockdown. We really appreciated the hotel allowing us an early check-in. We paid £20 to have a later checkout because our flight didn't leave until the late afternoon and we had no where to go. The reason for top review is based on the price you pay and what you get in return. This is not a 5 star hotel but for what it is, you get great value.

The Hotel’s location is very convenient— just steps away from the metro and within easy walking distance fo the Acropolis, Plaka, and the main street. the staff was welcoming and efficient, and the room service was fine. The accommodations were clean, well appointed, and spacious, with the exception of the bathroom which was very small and awkward in design. The breakfast was adequate with some hot and cold options.

This hotel is the worst value of our whole 3 week vacation in Italy and Greece. Our room. was supposed to have the view of Acropolis. We had to step out to the balcony and turn to left 90 degree through an ugly divider to see it. From our window, it was just city view.
This hotel hosted a large group of youngsters who were very noisy. The soundproof of the hotel was none. We can hear people talking in the hallway, next door, door slamming, shower running etc…. In addition, we were on 4th floor, directly under the terrace. There were people up there till midnight every night. In the early morning at 5:30: the hotel staff started moving furniture and walking there to prepare for breakfast. It was not possible to sleep before midnight or after 5:30 am.
The hotel staff looked nice but actually they totally forgot my request of staying at lower floor to avoid the noise from terrace. When requesting taxi for us, they did not tell us there was extra 3 euro charge for calling a taxi. plus, the staff did not know Archaeology museum was closed on Tuesday morning.
We paid 274 euro for two nights on weekdays at low season. We moved to a much nicer place in Athens for only 60% of the price, finally made up the sleep we lost in Acropolis view hotel.
This hotel is more a hostel, the. Bathroom and the room are very dated and tiny. Go somewhere else , you will find a much better place with lower price.
BTW, the Acropolis is located on a hill in Athens, you can basically see it as long as you are in open space Iin the city center, no need to stay at this hotel.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel before moving on to the islands. We wanted to visit Athens and we had a wonderful time.
For this price, the hotel provides an excellent accommodation in a fantastic location.
The Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, Plaka, Monastitaki are within walking distance.
We had made two separate bookings consisting of 2 different room types for a total of three nights and we got an upgrade, for which we are very thankful.
The standard room is very comfortable, it comes with a kettle, refrigerator and safe.
The combination of comfortable mattress and pillows, air conditioning and quiet road (we were on the first floor facing the road) meant very good sleep.
Breakfast is excellent and included in the room price. You need to preorder in the evening and to select a time slot. We went for the “healthy choice”, other options were Greek and continental.
Breakfast is either served in the room or on the roof-terrace from where the view to the Acropolis is just amazing. Definitely not to be missed!
Reception personnel is extremely helpful and friendly.
It was our first time here and certainly not the last one: highly recommended!

This was nice property at a good value located on the south side of the Acropolis. The hotel is a couple of blocks away from the Apostolou Pavlou walkway that provides scenic access to the Acropolis sites, Thissio district and beyond away from traffic. The roof top patio where breakfast is served offers excellent views of the Acropolis and surrounding neighborhoods. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed. The continental breakfast was tasty and had a wide range of choices. The staff was very accommodating and answered all our questions. They were also very diligent with us to address a booking and charge issue completely to our satisfaction. Overall, this is a great place to stay when site seeing in Athens. Highly recommended.

Hi Tim, I’m not sure where you are from but we are from Australia and purchased a aus to euro adapter for $18 prior to our trip.
Yes. It is available all day for all guests. It is usually not very crowded.
It is the breakfast area in the morning. Amazing views.
They use the two pronged adapters used by most continental European countries. Just go to amazon and type in “plug adapter for Greece”. You can buy packs of four for just a few dollars.
Remember that this is just an adapter, not a current converter. Items like smart phones and tablets automatically convert the current from 220 to 120. If you are going to use anything like hot rollers or a straightening iron, you will also need a converter unless the appliance has a switch that converts it from 220 to 120. The hotel has hair dryers in the rooms so you won’t need to worry about that.
good hotel. Nice location. Rooftop terrace with view of The Parthenon is magnificent.
Not sure - we are the travelers that stayed there not the hotel operator ....
