Detailed Reviews
The hotel itself is basic with clean and comfortable rooms. The shower is small and you'll be able to hear muffled sounds from the next room.
The location is excellent - only a short walking distance to the Acropolis Museum, Acropolis, Hadrian's Arch and the Plaka area.
What truly made our stay special was the staff. All of the staff are lovely. Raina, on reception was absolutely exceptional! She not only helped us with many requests but was very personable. I can not say enough good things as she answered any questions we had from making about suggestions of things to do to making some recommendations. If you stay here I hope you are lucky enough to meet her

+1
We stayed here 2 nights pre-cruise and 1 night post-cruise.
We chose this hotel mainly for the location and the rooftop bar/restaurant. It was a great choice for both……only 5 minute easy walk to the Plaka area and entrance to the Acropolis, and about 20 minute walk to Syntagma Square. We walked everywhere!
The rooms are pretty basic, but clean and comfortable. There is a fridge, but no coffee maker. Our first room pre-cruise was on the second floor with no view to speak of, and the bathroom was pretty small . Our second stay was on the 6th floor with a large balcony and nice view of the Acropolis (we were rewarded with an upgrade for returning 😀). There is only one elevator that is very small and only holds 2 people(or 1 person with luggage). You need your room key to access it going up.
Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. They do their best to try and get you in the room early, but they have storage for your luggage so you can go explore while waiting. Breakfast was decent and self serve, and the coffee was really good.
The rooftop restaurant/bar was great. The service and views were awesome. The food menu is small and basic and we didn’t have dinner there, but the bartenders were terrific and friendly…….. and we had the best White Russian we have ever tasted! We were on holiday after all. Lol
We would definitely recommend this hotel as a nice little boutique hotel. Nothing fancy, if that is what you are looking for, but perfect if you want a great rooftop bar and excellent location.

We Arrived after finding our first accommodation
In Athens, was worse than staying in the bear enclosure at the zoo!!
We walked into reception which was cool open very inviting and smelt beautiful, check in was smooth easy and after traveling and finding our first accommodation was absolutely disgusting and traveling again was a complete blessing.
We walked into our room which was clean bright cool huge comfy bed extra pillows on request, lovely bathroom complete with toiletries, Telly with English channels and to top it off a lovely little balcony, talk about hitting the jackpot.
It was also within walking distance of the Acropolis.
The rooftop bar offers views of the acropolis fantastic cocktails and awesome food.
We can honestly not fault this hotel it was fantastic for a three star hotel I would give it 5!!!

The hotel lobby was cute and modern. The room not so much. It was decent enough kind of outdated maybe. Very clean though. Enough to just bathe and sleep. They had no wash cloths to bath so bring your own sponge etc.
Room was a little noisy. Location was good for walking about 20 min to most popular sites.
Breakfast was decent not bad at all. Coffee not good but they had juices that were fine.
Overall good location, Good clean room and a good place to lay your head and eat a free breakfast.

Acropolis Select is perfectly located, a few minutes away from the Acropolis itself, Plaka, Anafiotica and Monastiraki neighborhoods. Rooms are comfortable, people at the front desk are nice and helpful , breakfast is delicious. Great stay in Athens!

Customer service is great, got me a room in 15 min , had a very long journey to get to greece but room was horrible, lights so dim cant see to put makeup on. The bathroom very small but the arrangement was not correct. There was no cup to rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth. They have a great bar on the top of the hotel.

Took an anniversary trip to Athens in April and chose to stay at the Acropolis Select Hotel. Perfect choice! The price was very reasonable and I can’t say enough about the staff at this hotel. They were so helpful, nice, and accommodating. The rooms are good size and the beds are very comfortable. They provide fresh bottled water each day and you have a mini fridge in the room. The bathrooms are a bit tight, but this is normal for Europe. The hotel is located in a very nice and safe neighborhood. The Acropolis, Plaka, and multiple restaurants are all within about 2-3 blocks. Two blocks to the east of the hotel is the Acropolis and museum and two blocks to the west of the hotel is a promenade (a street that is closed to traffic and turned into a green space). It has multiple local restaurants with better food than what you will find at the restaurants around the Acropolis (EBoupa was exceptional). There are also several cafes and bakeries very near to the hotel with great coffee and gelato (Tzatsos Bakery). The free breakfast at the hotel was very good, with eggs, bagels, meats, cheeses, fruit, pastries, and an espresso machine. The rooftop bar and restaurant is outstanding. We ate there three nights and went up for drinks almost every night. The nighttime view of the Acropolis is amazing. They have a very good saxophone musician who plays there several times per week….sitting with a lemoncello spritz, looking at the uplit Acropolis, and listening to soft jazz music….it was kind of magical! And the bartender and waitresses are as nice and accommodating as the rest of the staff at the hotel. I highly recommend the Acropolis Select Hotel.

We stayed here twice on our tour of Greece. The location is phenomenal, with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance and an easy walk to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. Check in is quick and friendly. The rooms are clean and well appointed with nice balconies. They have a kettle, tea and coffee in the room, which is nice. The elevator is slow and small, so most people use the stairs. A hidden gem of this hotel is the rooftop bar and restaurant, especially at night, with a spectacular view of the Parthenon.

The location is great, we were able to walk to all the main sites in Athens and drop back to the hotel for a rest (or a break from the heat). Staff we very friendly and helpful. Roof top bar had views of the Acropolis. Room probably could do with updating but were clean and cleaned every day, air con and wifi were excellent. Great value hotel in a great central Athens location.

Bars of soap, shampoo and shower gel tubes are in the bathroom. There is a small supermarket only two streets away which is very reasonably priced, if you need more than that.
We arrived on a very early morning flight and left late evening. Both times the hotel were more than happy to store our luggage. We popped back at midday on our arrival day, in case the room was ready early, as it was only going to be another 30 minutes we popped up to the rooftop bar and they arranged to let us know when we could check in. The staff were really helpful.
Lots of cats, especially at the Acropolis.
Not a clue as I mainly eat steak/beef products
