This hotel is very near to the Syngmata square, a walking distance of around 6-7 minutes. The hotel has all amenities, good breakfast and a nice terrace restaurant. Further walking across the square, you can find many nice restaurants and shopping street. Fairly good deals are offered by the hotel.

Staying with friends, we chose this hotel for its location. We were not disappointed. The hotel has grace and elegance and rooms and halls are quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly and helped us orientate our way around as well as suggest how we could book transport to nearby islands for the next leg of our tour. The breakfast...

I visited the hotel in April 2017. The room's space was very limited! It was very difficult to walk around the room with our luggage (2 suitcases) since there was no enough space to put them. The bed size was also quite small, it was not even a king size it was nearly a queen size and the rest furniture...

We stayed in the Electra Palace and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Even the standard rooms were very nice, the rooftop bar and restaurant were superb, the breakfast was one of the best we've had in a hotel, and the views of the Acropolis were the best in the city. Highly recommend.

The hotel is in a central location. The rooms are hood the breakfast was exelent and the biew of the acropolice from the 5th floor balcony at night is wonderful. The acropolice is lit and near the pool you can admire the sight. Loved it. We were with kids and the staff helped us with the rooms but they were...

We spent more than our budget to stay at Electra Palace Athens to enjoy a safe and comfortable location in short walking distance to all the major sites and shopping in Athens to kick off our European adventure and this hotel hit the mark! After a very long flight from Canada with a young child staff accommodated us with an...

In the Plaka quarter, 10 min walk from the entrance of the Acropolis ( take the side entrance, closer and shorter lines at the ticked office). Make sure you have a gps to get to the hotel if you come by car (parking is available in the garage immediately adjacent). Hotel is reasonably modern, rooms are ok, some with great...

very nice, clean hotel in the middle of the Plaka. From here you can walk everywhere. The Hotel is very elegant. Right away you are met by someone wanting to assist with taking your bags to your room. The staff is exceptional. We absolutely fell in love with our bar tender Menelaos. Menelaos was awesome to us, plus he gave...

Stayed for 4 nites when we visited Athens in late March. This hotel is in a good location , short walk from the tube, shops, restaurants and everything!. It;s a relatively old hotel, renovations look tired but the standarsd of hygiene; bed sheets, cleaning of the bathroms, items in the room is top notch. And so make an effort to...

What an unexpected delight. After a strenuous but superb day climbing to the Acropolis my husband and I indulged in 90 minute long deep tissue massages at the Aegeo Spa in the Electra Palace Hotel. We were both completely satisfied. Marina, Helen, and Ioanna were each fantastic. The value was excellent. We highly recommend this to all.

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
