Our room was excellent, if small. We had a balcony with a view of the top of the Acropolis. However, we couldn't walk past each other in one part of the room, it was so small! And the walls are incredibly thin - I had to knock on next door's door to complain about the noise of their television and loud laughter one night: it was 11.30pm. Fortunately, they left the next day. The pool on the roof was packed and not all of the loungers have umbrellas - which was a problem as the sun was very strong. However, the next day we found the spa - it has a heated pool and jacuzzi: on our last full day we had it entirely to ourselves at around 5pm - it was wonderful! Breakfast was a bit mixed. By the time I got cooked food back to my table, it was cold and inedible. Looking at others' plates, I think this was a common experience. I realised that asking for poached eggs was the only way to get hot food. The hotel's location is great - easy walking distance to most of the sights and very close to Plaka for restaurants and cafes. All in all, a good place to stay, but not perfect.

The view from this hotel makes the Acropolis feel so close to you, you almost wonder whether you can touch it! It is pure magic. The view from the rooftop is a delight, while having breakfast. We got upgraded to the Presidential Suite and that was simply incredible: a terrace with a private pool and outdoor sitting area overlooking the Acropolis. It was a beautiful dream. You walk out of the hotel and can wander around Plaka on foot. Everything is there. I would recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay in Athens. It is worth the money. Note: if you want excellent food nearby, go to Barbounaki Mitropoleos for seafood and delicious Greek dishes. Enjoy!

Location very central - front desk staff extremely helpful - breakfast v good and Thankyou for serving tea in mugs so much nicer. We couldn’t get a reservation in to the roof top restaurant - we will have to remember if we come again to book in advance. Outdoor pool was lovely to have a dip to cool off and recharge after a days sightseeing .

Ideal location in the Plaka walking distance to everything! Stayed in a garden suite with a king size bed, while the room was small it had everything you needed except an iron. Actually none of our hotels in Greece offered an iron. The views of the Acropolis at the Rooftop Restaurant are just amazing. Be sure to enjoy a sunset dinner with an advance reservation to ensure your spot! Hotel Staff very accommodating allowing us access to our room even with our early arrival!

We stayed at Electra Place on our recent trip to Greece. The hotel has a lovely huge lobby and an equally great rooftop restaurant/bar with the most incredible view of the acropolis. We also stayed at its sister property a block away (Electra Metropolis), and can confirm that they have the best views of the city from their rooftops. We had drinks there every night overlooking the lit up Parthenon and going over our day's adventures. The location of this hotel is ideal. Short walking distance to the heart of the Plaka and and everything else you want to see. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Also, I must also mention the car service. Every taxi and car that we requested through the hotel was great - punctual, very clean and the drivers were super. More knowledgeable than a lot of the guides of the city that we paid for! All round, a great hotel and we highly recommend it while in Athens.

Our room was a standard one due to a last- minute booking, so we couldn’t benefit of a nice view. However, it was spacious, clean, well equipped, cared in every detailed, the bed was comfortable, and the bed linen of top-notch quality. Breathing view at the top floor where a splendid fresh breakfast was served. Staff is courteous, smiling, very professional. Highly recommend. Unfortunately they couldn’t extend our booking as the hotel was fully booked. Easy to imagine why… We’ll go back again as we had such a pleasant stay.

We have been very lucky to stay in many small and personal hotels throughout our travels. I would put the Hotel Electra Palace right at the top. We had a very comfortable and restful two night stay when we arrived in Athens ahead of our marvelous Greek island cruise. Twelve days later, we are here again and we were greeted with overwhelming warmth and kindness. From the fabulous concierge Sophia, to the bellmen and other staff, we were immediately treated like long lost friends. They arranged a taxi to go see the National Archeological Museum, telling us to not pay more than €10 coming or going, stored our luggage, and arranged our (horrible) 3 a.m. ride to airport tomorrow within 5 minutes of walking into the door. After a marvelous day at the museum, and then some hubristic thinking we could walk back to the hotel – we gave up and hailed a taxi who was also very nice (although it was a wild ride) and charged a seven euros for the return. On our first visit, we had an incredible breakfast and dinner in their rooftop restaurant which overlooks the Acropolis. Although we had a perfectly nice room on our earlier visit, we’ve been upgraded to a balcony room that is about twice as big and a much more luxurious bathroom. A very special treat was a fruit plate and one bubbly rosé in an ice bucket. This hotel deserves every rave and I’m already planning a return visit to Athens and surrounds. Highly, highly recommended

Wonderful experience This place was clean very pretty people go out of their way the beds were comfortable the bathroom was clean They Shampoo. Everything you need for the bathroom. The breakfast is not included but it is definitely work to take a trip upstairs because it is beautiful. The bed was really comfortable and so were the pillows. I read one review and it was really bad I took the chance anyways however I don't know why They would make such a bad review. But I took my chances and booked for 3 other couples and we were all satisfied and very happy. The people go out of their way for you anything you want they will either bring it to your room or they'll go out and get it. Remarkable. The only downside is that the people inside the spa are not very friendly and very serious about their spa even when it comes to asking questions about it. But it was also very clean and very pretty I would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to all my friends

The location of the Electra Palace is why we chose this hotel during our stay in Athens. It was in the heart of town and an easy walk to the Acropolis and other attractions nearby. Our room was relatively small, but we were only there 2 nights so it was not a problem for my husband and me. We enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop with views of the Acropolis, as well as the small pool where we could relax. The breakfast was plentiful with many options! I'm writing this review specifically because I had left one of my favorite shirts behind in our room's closet and reached out to the hotel to see if they had found it. They had!! And they offered to ship it back to me in the States. I could not be more appreciative of that! That is quality service. Thank you so much, Dimitris and Georgia!!!

To say we were impressed with this hotel would be an understatement. This was our last hotel stay in a multi-city vacation and we felt really happy with our choice. The people - every single person we interacted with - were helpful, friendly and went above and beyond. From the doorman, to the breakfast staff, to the front desk, everyone was great. We had 2 side by side rooms, kids in one room, us in the other - with a view of the courtyard and I'd select that again, quiet sleeps and great view to the acropolis. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable (as was the bed). Location - as noted by the countless other reviews - was perfect. Close enough to walk to many of the main sites, yet just far enough from the craziness of the all the main throughfares to avoid all the noise and congestion. The pool was a family favourite, after weeks of non stop sightseeing and action, the kids loved just posting up and having some pool time. The food served at the pool bar was ok (my wife and I shared the Greek salad a few days in row!) and our kids enjoyed the club sandwiches. I should mention nice servers in the pool bar as well. The breakfast was amazing - tons of options, and it was always being replenished and similarly, plates cleared away, coffee refilled, etc.. The food was impressive as well - it was a great way to start the day. If it sounds like I'm a raving fan.... well, I am! I would actively search out this hotel again during my next trip. First class, friendly stay!!
