Located in the heart of the city, Titania Hotel is celebrated by guests for its prime location, perfect for exploring nearby attractions. While the hotel's ambiance is generally appreciated, especially with festive touches, some areas are noted as needing a refresh. The rooftop views and breakfast are highlights, though some amenities fall short of expectations.
The service quality varies, with reports of both commendable staff and disappointing encounters. Despite its cleanliness, the value proposition is criticized, and noise levels are a common concern among guests.

We stayed at Hotel Titania in Athens for four nights, and our experience was excellent. The location of the hotel is ideal, very close to the Omonia area and the business center, making it very easy for travelers to the city.
To our joy, we were upgraded to the seventh floor for my partner’s 60th birthday, and for the occasion we were decorated with a bottle of wine and fruit – a pleasant gesture that added a lot to the atmosphere.
Regarding the lower floors (2-3), we heard less good reviews, so I can’t have an opinion on them, but on the seventh floor the experience was excellent. The hotel staff was efficient, available and kind to any questions or requests, and the lobby itself is very spacious and pleasant.
Overall, this is a recommended hotel, especially thanks to the personal service and warm attitude, which made our birthday celebration enjoyable and unforgettable.

Well located, on the avenue that connects Syntagma and Omonia squares, about 150 m from the latter (and the metro). There are quite a few restaurants around that we liked and they are not as crowded as the typical ones in the Plaka or Monastiraki neighborhood. The hotel is quite good overall, although in some aspects it could use updating. The staff is friendly and willing, although we did not find anyone who spoke Spanish. We had booked a "superior" type room and they gave us a room a little larger than the others but with views of the interior patio. We talked about it at reception and they made it easier for us to change to a high, exterior room from the second day onwards. Perfect. The room is adequate, with mini-fridge, tea/coffee maker, TV, wifi, slippers and bathrobe, hairdryer, etc. The beds are comfortable, and generally well soundproofed. To add a drawback, the bathroom is a bit small. The breakfast buffet is abundant in terms of quantity, but the quality (especially the coffee) could be improved. However, the best thing about breakfast is that the dining room is on the roof of the 11th floor with views of the Akropolis. A pleasure.

The Hotel Titania is very well located, it is on Triade Street and the two main shopping malls in Athenas and also very close to the main shopping street, Ermou Street.
The hotel reception is beautiful and very spacious with some receptionists who serve well and others not so much.
The rooms are small and somewhat cramped, the beds and pillows are comfortable, now the biggest problem is the bathrooms, very small and cramped and the showers are very bad, a hanging shower head that falls all the time and the shower stalls are also bad and they wet the entire bathroom.
Breakfast well served and the restaurant for dinner is very good and with a beautiful view of the illuminated Acropolis, the only bad thing is the politeness of the waiters, several of them are rude and it seems like they are doing the guests a favor.

The hotel is not a 4 star by Italian standards (shower was leaking water and the triple was not very spacious) but the value for money is good when calculating the breakfast included on the rofftop on the 11th floor accessible by 4 elevators. Very good cleaning, on arrival you will find free water in the fridge and tea with kettle available, bathrobes in addition to towels changed daily. The location is great, 5 minutes from the National Library and University, 15 minutes from Syntagma Square and 25 from the Acropolis, if you do not want to walk the metro is 5 min towards Omonia Square. Courteous and professional staff. The area is good, out of the hustle and bustle of the old town, with some homeless who are stationed on the street but absolutely not annoying, unfortunately the homeless are many and spread a little throughout the central area. Overall it is a hotel I recommend.

First attracted by its name : "Titanium" the amulet said to build tight bonds, useful when working with teams and also known for raising the organisation's power and capabilities ! "Titania", a girl's name known from the Greek mythology, meaning Giant !
These two elements made me feel that organising the annual conference of my company at this hotel would be a Giant Success ! And Yes ! It happened ! It was mid January 2024 when we travelled from various countries around Europe to visit Athens for a third time !
The blend of the convenience, the comfort, the professional amenities, the excellent service and the Team's commitment to our satisfaction, contributed to this huge success with delegates who are already in the process of confirming our next business meeting in a few months !
From the moment we stepped into the iconic lobby with the amazing mosaic floor, we were greeted by the friendliest Staff who went above and beyond to ensure a seamless check-in process.
The well equipped, spacious and luxurious Conference Hall "Ouranos" on the 10th floor, with the state of the art technology , the high speed wi-fi and the visual equipment provided, allowed smooth presentations and productive discussions. But, it was the bright day light bathing the Meeting Hall , which is the same bright light shining above the sacred Rock of the Acropolis, along with the amazing view, that lit up our mood and attracted positive aura for the desired prosperous outcome of the Conference .
Dining at the roof top "Olive Garden" Restaurant with the breathtaking view of the Acropolis , lit at night this time, was the most impressive part of the event and an exceptional dining experience!
The excellent bedding facilities and the tranquil ambiance of the room along with the impeccable Housekeeping service left me a feeling of rejuvenation, ready to tackle the following day and enjoy the exhibits of Greek culture at Benaki Museum, situated within walking distance from the hotel.
Although January is considered the coldest month of the year in Athens, the mild temperatures and the sunshine throughout our stay was a welcome escape from the freezing winter of our country, proving once again that selecting Athens and TITANIA hotel for the event was a true amulet !!
Huge thanks to the whole Team for the impeccable organisation of our event and warm wishes! Until our next Meeting in a few months !

10/18/24 The most important thing I want to point out is that the room did not come with a functional refrigerator. I must travel with refrigerated medication. The two other hotels I've stayed at in Greece (Thessaloniki and Meteroa) provided adequate in-room refrigeration - and two bottles of water daily. When I registered my need at the desk here, I was told that they would replace my refrigerator while I was out for the day and, in the meantime, would refrigerate my medicine. When I returned that afternoon, they had NOT replaced my refrigerator and told me that they did not provide bottled water daily. Indeed, when I asked for a complimentary bottle for the evening, I was told with a sneer that one would be delivered to my room. It was not. When I went to retrieve my medicine this morning, I had to wait 15 minutes for "the porter" to find it, making me late to catch up with my group. Let me close by saying that the elevators are very slow - 15-20 minute waits are normal. Many take the stairs. The dining area is chaotic and LOUD, making pleasant dinner conversation impossible. The food is mediocre at best. The desserts are good. No coffee or tea is provided with dinner - just breakfast. We couldn't even order a glass of wine - no one was available. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. I must return here for one night after I cruise the islands, but I would never advise anyone to stay here unless all they are seeking is a fairly spectacular view of the Parthenon from the rooftop restaurant. I have written to my tour company to make certain they know of my concerns.

Dear Dr. Kaeton, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are sorry to read about the inconveniences you encountered during your stay at the Titania Hotel. We understand the importance of proper medication storage and want to clarify that our hotel does not provide refrigerators in the rooms. Instead, we inform all guests that our minibars are not suitable for medication storage due to temperature regulations. We do offer to refrigerate medications in our main refrigerator and ensure they are available when needed. We regret that there was a misunderstanding regarding this arrangement. Regarding your experience with bottled water, we typically provide complimentary water on the first day of your stay, which is common in many hotels. Additional bottles can be arranged for a fee. We are sorry for any confusion and appreciate your feedback on this matter. We acknowledge the delay during your checkout due to high occupancy and the simultaneous departure of multiple groups. Our staff strives to ensure timely delivery of all items, including your refrigerated medicine, and we are sorry for the wait you experienced. We appreciate your comments about the dining area and service, which we take seriously. Your feedback helps us to improve the overall guest experience, and we will address these concerns with our team. We’re glad to hear that you found the beds comfortable and the room clean, and we hope your return visit allows us the opportunity to provide a more enjoyable experience. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. Sincerely, H Hotels Collection

Staff so rude, the receptionist didn’t let me leave my bag in the deposit the day that i had my flight after the check out, just because I didn’t t want to stick the sticker with glue on my bag. They didn’t let me stay in the hall to rest on the sofa. Housekeeping never hoover the room , even the first day when we check in, and for the first three days the continued to remove the key for the air condition. Breakfast so busy, often there was not space to sit down.

Dear Erica, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We would appreciate your understanding of our Front desk team's adherence to our standard procedures. They were simply following protocol by requesting a storage tag for your luggage, ensuring the security and organized handling of all guests' belongings. As a hotel, we prioritize the comfort and safety of all our guests, and therefore have certain guidelines in place to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone. Resting & sleeping in the lobby sofa, is generally not allowed in most hotels for various reasons, including security concerns and maintaining a quiet and peaceful environment for all guests. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Sincerely, Georgios Papazoglou Managing Director

Unacceptable Treatment at Titania Hotel - Service Dog Discrimination
My partner and I recently cared for Kimba, an elderly service dog, while her owner was hospitalized. Our experience at Titania Hotel was deeply upsetting and discriminatory, leaving us feeling humiliated and unwelcome.
Key Incidents of Discrimination 1. **Locked Out of Our Room**: After returning from breakfast, staff deactivated our keycards without explanation. We were stranded outside our room for **45 minutes** while Kimba (a trained service dog) waited calmly beside us. The manager later claimed it was a "security precaution for animals" but refused to apologize.
2. **Public Humiliation at Breakfast**: Staff loudly confronted us in the dining area, accusing Kimba of "disrupting guests" even though she laid quietly under our table. Multiple guests watched as we were told service dogs "do not belong restaurants."
Failed Compassion Kimba wears visible service dog patches and we provided documentation. Instead of accommodating her needs: - Staff rolled their eyes when asked for water access near our table - Housekeeping "forgot" our room for 2 days straight - Receptionists made snide comments about "fake service animals"
Critical Flaws While the hotel advertises pet-friendliness, they clearly don’t understand: 🔺 Service dogs aren’t "pets" but medical necessities 🔺 Locking guests out violates basic hospitality 🔺 Public shaming creates hostile environments
Impact on Us As temporary caregivers, this treatment added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. No one should feel **punished for showing kindness** to a disabled person’s service animal.
**To Service Dog Handlers**: Proceed with extreme caution. This hotel lacks both empathy and basic ADA-compliance understanding. We’re filing complaints with Athens’ Disability Advocacy Network and encourage others to share similar experiences.
*Note to Management*: Train your staff on disability laws. Kimba did nothing wrong – your team’s behavior did.

Dear Mr. Rijken, We regret reading your review and would like to clarify that your comments do not reflect the actual facts of the case. Titania Hotel, one of Athens’ first pet-friendly hotels, strictly complies with regulations for people with disabilities, service animals and hygiene standards. This was followed in your case, respecting both you and all other guests. Obviously, we also expect the same respect for the rules from our guests, since compliance with the legislation ensures their own protection and interest. Regarding the incident: Upon arrival, the dog was not presented at check-in, nor were documents provided to confirm its status as a service dog. During breakfast, our restaurant team, unaware of the dog’s status, contacted reception for guidance, as pets are not allowed in dining areas under applicable laws. You were allowed to continue breakfast on the condition that you register the dog and settle the cleaning fee at reception. Unfortunately, this step was not completed, leading to necessary security measures until the matter was resolved. When you met with our Front Office Manager, he explained the misunderstanding and assured you that proper registration at check-in would have avoided the issue. As a goodwill gesture, we offered a special table for you and the dog the next morning and provided a complimentary room upgrade with a balcony for your comfort. At Titania Hotel, we take the needs of guests with disabilities seriously and ensure our policies comply with legal requirements. Our team acted professionally and in line with regulations at all times. We regret that you perceived our actions as discriminatory, but we must emphasize that our procedures were followed correctly and respectfully. Sincerely, H Hotels Collection

Would like to thank the Titania hotel for an enjoyable stay. We were upgraded to a superior room with city view due to my birthday, this was appreciated. We arrived earlier than check-in but this was not a problem as the room was available. Our room and common areas were kept clean and tidy. We had one small complaint as dirty cups and replacement tea/coffee was over looked on one day. This was quickly rectified with a smile. In fact on the same day on returning to our room in the evening we found a lovely bowl of fruit waiting for us. Breakfast was ample and there is a good selection. The lady who greets you at breakfast ( with the red jacket, can’t remember her name) is very polite and always cheerful. All members of staff we had contact with were helpful and polite. There are metro stations and bus stops nearby but if you enjoy walking it is easy to reach major sites and shopping areas. A word of warning though in Athens, as in other major cities worldwide, there is a problem with pickpockets and beggars so be very careful with handbags, wallets etc. On the morning of our departure we requested a late check out, which again was not a problem. If the hotel is not able to grant late check out they will hold your luggage in a secure area. Overall a good stay. Thank you, Yiannaki and Stella Kasapi

This hotel has implemented a new policy where paying hotel guests are not allowed to access the rooftop patio unless they are consuming food from the restaurant or bar. We were told that it is upsetting to those dining at the restaurant for non-diners to enjoy the rooftop. After requesting to speak to management, it was explained that this is their new policy. Additionally, half the rooftop is roped off (see pictures). I would think twice before booking here and I would not recommend this hotel. I ultimately made a bar purchase just so that I could access the rooftop patio and the views were in fact spectacular. I recommended to management that they add a disclaimer to the website stating that being a hotel guest does not automatically grant access to the rooftop patio unless you are a patron at their restaurant.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay at Titania Hotel. We understand your concern about our policy restricting access to the rooftop, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify that this policy is not unique to our hotel but rather a common practice in many restaurants worldwide. The intention behind this policy is to ensure that all guests who are dining or drinking at the restaurant have a comfortable and enjoyable experience without the disruption of non-diners taking photos or using the restaurant space without consuming food or beverages. Regarding the roped-off area you mentioned, it serves to outline the bar area from the restaurant, ensuring that each area can be enjoyed by our guests according to their specific needs and preferences. We value your feedback and will certainly take it into consideration. We are continually working to improve our guest experience and will review how we communicate our policies more clearly on our website to avoid any misunderstandings in the future. Thank you once again for your comments. We hope you enjoyed the spectacular views from the Olive Garden rooftop and that your overall experience was pleasant. Best regards, H Hotels Collection
