Nice clean hotel. Rooftop bar and restaurant with Parthenon view is one of the high points. Wide range of breakfast buffet. Very good location close to all tourist attraction. Reasonably sized rooms. Overall comfortable stay.

We choose this hotel because of the l oration and the price, which was under a 100 dollars per night in Athens. Hotel rooms are very outdated with brown old carpet. Small rooms and even smaller washrooms with rust spots in the tub. Washroom door almost touches the sink as you open it. Breakfast is ok, feels like a high... More

I found this hotel to be very good. The room was comfortable and clean though I had no view from my window. The staff were polite and helpful. The buffet breakfast was one of the best that I had experienced in Europe. The rooftop garden restaurant was great, with good food, wine and the views of the Acropolis. All in all... More

Rooms are very small and dark. The lobby carpets could use changing. We did it like the rooms but the roof top patio made up for all the poor rooms. The roof top patio offers a glorious view of the Acropolis. The breakfast buffet was very good offering essential of hot and cold breakfast. The hotel staff were very friendly... More

My teenaged son and I stayed at the Titania during our stay in Athens based on the recommendation of our travel agent. It was clean and quiet and the staff were friendly. The location was good for walking as well as within a couple of blocks of the metro station. The included breakfast buffet was extensive and tasty. Free wi-fi... More

We spent two nights there before Salsa cruise. The room was quite clean but a bit smelly. Amazing roof garden with view of Parthenon. Rich and tasteful breakfast. Location in the center of Athens. I didn't like carpet in the room. Wifi was free only at lobby and it's speed very low.

We stayed at the Titania for 3 nights during our stay in Athens and it was perfect! The lobby was stunning and had air conditioning, so as soon as you walked through the door you were instantly cooled down. The rooms were simple but clean and well maintained and the bathroom was great. The breakfast was super, a huge selection... More

Stayed at the Titania Hotel for 2 nights. Good central location. Close to the shopping center, subway, restaurants and some attractions. Lobby was large and so as the common areas. Wifi was only available at the lobby lounge. Room was simple, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well lit. When we complained about the hairdryer the service staff... More

We stayed at the Titania for 5 nights while visiting Athens as part of an extended overseas holiday. We initially thought our travel agent had done well by booking us there, that was until we saw the upstairs corridors and the rooms. The carpet in the halls has definitely seen better days, also the ceilings in the hallways all seem... More

Perfect location, walking distance from Monastiraki, Plaka, subway, Acropolis etc. Breakfast was superb. The coffee was excellent. We were thrilled about it. Our room was very nice, but we didn't like it the previous time. The rooms were very clean, the bathroom spotless and we had nice clean soft towels every day. We like this hotel very much but, this... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
