Very friendly staff and check-in. There is not better location that Syntagma square and the beginning of Emrou street. A nice cafe lounge is at the ground floor on the main walking street with excellent coffee. Breakfast has a good variety. Rooms not so nice and very small. Noisy because I had to open the window at night otherwise you...

The first thing to note is that there are numerous hotels using "Electra" in their name in Athens, so make sure you know which one you have booked in to, especially if arriving late at night, else you may find yourself walking from one to another. The hotel is very nice, well appointed and the staff are friendly. The rooms...

You can view the Syntagma square from your balcony and the busy Ermou str. Very nice hotel, a bit overpriced but in a very good position. No easy access by car! and ermou str is a very noisy and busy street.

My husband booked the Eke grandson Hotel Athens through HSI and we are totally satisfied. The Hotel staff are professional, informative and friendly. The room and the entire hotel was very clean. We were three in the room and the pull out bed worked perfectly. The only downside was the room did get warm during the night. We solved that...

For being on one of the busiest streets in the city, our room was very quiet, and you would never know we were smack dab in the middle of everything. We had one of the family rooms (2 rooms with a connecting door), so our 14 year old had his own room. The bed was very comfortable, and we were...

The hotel is very well located, just a few minutes away from Syntagma Square and in the middle of a busy shopping area. The hotel receptionist was good and efficient, the overall decor of the hotel was nice and my room was nice and clean. The TV in my room was a bit small but overall the size of the...

I booked the Electra for a weekend stay in Athens. I've been there before many years ago and I knew the position of the hotel was exactly where I wanted to be to make the most of the time available. I recieved an email confirmation quickly after booking directly on the hotel website and in the run up a couple...

The Hotel is located in Ermou Street, right at the centre of Athens, Comfortable rooms, easy access, very comfortable beds and clean, well looked after hotel in general. The staff cannot do enough to assist and make your stay comfortable and the breakfast was 5 star. Enjoyed my stay, the third over the last couple of years and will definitely...

Being there single and busy, it's location made it better and easiest spending some quality time after meetings. Of course you must be prepared to be hosted in one of the oldest city hotels of Athens with its pros and cons. They had also some plumbing issues (no warm water) which made my morning bath last more than usual.... brrrr.......

Came to Athens in March for 3 nights, could hardly sleep because our room was too hot, when went to the counter and spoke to the staff telling them we couldn't sleep. They said because it is winter we switch off all AC in the hotel! Really ruined our stay as we weren't having a good nights sleep so ended...

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
