This hotel has a great location cant really get much closer to the Acropolis. When we arrived there was a large tour group checking in so we had to wait about 15 minutes to check in. Since we arrived a little early our room wasn't ready yet so the hotel took our luggage and we walked around for 20 minutes... More

When we arrived the staff were extremely welcoming and continued to be so. This hotel is 5 mins walk from the Acropolis. The first time we went to the roof terrace we were bowled over by the amazing view. There is nothing to fault here; and special thanks to Dimos in the restaurant for saving our special evening from disaster... More

Overall I had a great stay in Athens, however, it didn't start out that way. Initially i checked in and the room was not at all what I expected - tiny (couldn't walk around the bed), terribly noisy and disappointing. Thankfully my feedback was taken on board and I was offered a different room the following day which was much... More

It's worth visiting this hotel the view which is excellent. The Location is very central, a 5 min walk from the Acropoli metro station. Also very Close to the main restaurants and bars. Although you don't have to go out of the hotel because of the rooftop. I loved the rooftop restaurant and bar. It's Reasonably priced too. Gets pretty... More

Excellent location / Fantastic view / fabulous rooftop Bar with eclectic in house cocktail menu. Large rooms - very well appointed. Most excellent view of Acropolis - well worth the small room upgrade. Photos are very accurate. Right on the sightseeing bus routes - very convenient. Stayed for three nights. Perfect location for visiting all the sites. Fabulous view from the rooftop. Book early if you want to eat here though. We watched a number of hotel patrons turned away as it was full. Really enjoyed the restaurant. Room provided all amenities. Air conditioner temperature not individually controlled and could be a little noisy.

Great hotel with a view of the Pantheon. Close to the Plaka for strolling, shopping and finding a nice place to eat. The hotel has a wonderful rooftop restaurant and bar with great views! It also has a hot tub to relax in. Breakfast was wonderful and had everything you could possibly want. The one coffee machine was a little... More

We really enjoyed the hotel. Great service and facilities. The breakfast was really nice and the young man who was seating people was awesome. Bellman was very helpful. Hot tub had view of Acropolis. Highly recommend this place. Room was a tad bit small but was well maintained.

You cannot go wrong with the location, it is next door to the Acropolis museum and has a view of the Acropolis from the restaurant on the 5th floor and from the hot tubs on the 4th floor. Our air conditioning did not work the first of two nights but the hotel fixed it for the second night. First night... More

Staying in Thissio / Makriyanni

Neighborhood Profile
Thissio / Makriyanni
Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely pedestrianized Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the up-and-coming area of Makriyanni, whose centerpiece is the magnificent new Acropolis Museum. Opposite the museum is the entrance to the southern slopes of the Acropolis, while the eponymous metro station nearby is at the top of Makriyanni Street, another strip of touristic cafés and restaurants.
