Spent two nights here. Staff very friendly. Breakfast included with any stay but get there early to beat the crowds. Adjacent to the Acropolis/Parthenon and close to many shops and restaurants. Rooms decently appointed. Not a luxury hotel but priced accordingly.

This hotel was at the best location. It was right in the middle of everything. It is clean. The rooms are beautiful and the view is great. The best thing is the rooftop bar with beautiful views of the Acropolis and The Temple of Zeus. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. Overall a great experience. I would book it again.

We spent 2 nights at Athens Gate before a cruise. Great location. My room faced the Temple of Zeus. Major attractions were in walking distance including the Acropolis and Acropolis museum. We had an awesome view of the Acropolis from the hotel’s rooftop restaurant/bar. Planka (shopping) was right around the corner. The rooms were a nice size and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Room contained a safe and mini fridge. Bottled water was free on the day’s stay. Water was also available in the lobby. The hotel staff was awesome. Before arriving, we were sent a link to a transportation company to use to get from the airport to the hotel. The company was nice, and reasonably priced. When I return to Athens for another visit, I will be staying at the Athens Gate Hotel.

Spent 5 nights at the Athens gate with dad on our annual father daughter trip. The location was amazing! Easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants, metro station, and the sights fo the city. Breakfast was well appointed and provided beautiful views from the restaurant. Hotel staff was incredibly personable and helpful. Only odd thing is there are no outlets in the bathroom. However, not a deal breaker. Would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Athens.

Very comfortable rooms (we had a single & double), in a great location for the Acropolis and various museums, and with very friendly & efficient staff. Excellent breakfast too. The rooftop restaurant is famous for its view of the Acropolis, and the food was the best we ate in our 10 day visit to Greece - but the portions are "nouvelle cuisine" size and are very expensive.

Cozy, comfy, clean, friendly, and boasts a restaurant with a killer view of the acropolis. We had just left Santorini where we stayed in luxury hotels; while Athens Gate does not fall into that category, we had a lovely time in a nice, clean room with a good bed and friendly staff. We had Greek salads and a nice bottle of wine in the restaurant hotel for dinner, and a complimentary breakfast the next day. Definitely a winner! And for celiacs, the location cannot be beat. Arcadia and Greek Stories are close by and both completely “get” gluten-free dining and offer free bread and sometimes beer. We will be back!

Location is right next to the acropolis. Very nice rooftop for drinks with a view - food was just ok but it is worth it for the view and breakfast is included and can be eaten up there as well. Great for a quick Athens trip!

Lovely hotel in great location to central Athens sites and minutes from the acropolis. Rooms very nice although bathrooms are quite tight - had to step into the shower in order to close the bathroom door once inside. The rooftop restaurant requires reservations for dinner, but drinks from the bar after dinner are first come-first serve and you can’t beat the views of the acropolis and most of center city from there! Biggest issue are the elevators. There are 2 for the entire hotel and only 2 people can fit at a time. Plan accordingly or prepare to take the stairs.

This hotel is wonderful. You can drop your bags and head to town and the acropolis. The views from the roof top bar/restaurant are spectacular. Rooms great and ask for a view of the acropolis! One of our rooms had trouble with the air conditioning which was promptly addressed and fixed.

We always have to stay here to get our dose of the Parthenon, the temple of Zeus and of course to say hello to the staff. We love this place - spotless, excellent service and so central. We even miss the cute lift. As for the breakfast … best in town!
