Stayed here for four nights on our trip to Athens, nothing to complain about! Rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast was good and had a lovely view. Very nice location as well, did not have to take the bus or metro much, could walk to all the major attractions. Just felt the customer service at the front desk could be... More

Many thanks to all the staff at the hotel for their local knowledge in informing me what to see and how to get there , a great hotel in a good location only minutes from monastiraki metro station. The square is buzzing in the evening at weekends and we were great full to have an excellent quiet room on the... More

Really enjoyed our stay at A for Athens! The evening drink & delicious breakfast on the roof top were highlights. Amazing location on Monistriaki Square/Station made the trip to the airport very easy!

We choose this hotel, because it is located near the Monastiraki Metro Station, enabling us to take the metro to Piraeus early in the morning to catch the ferry (no problem by the way, running every 10 minutes). We also had a big room, with a little kitchenette, didn't use it, but is is just nice to have some space... More

Sat for about 2 hours having drinks. The rooftop has amazing views. Prices were midrange although service was at times a little slow. There was not an abundance of seating on the rooftop so would go earlier in the day to avoid disappointment.

This is a nice hotel in the central part of Athens next to a very popular square and the metro. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and nicely finished. The bathroom is large and shower was great! The rooftop bar is very popular in the evening with a great view of the Acropolis.

We booked this hotel online not really knowing what to expect because the pictures are usually better than the actual hotel but when we arrived....WOW. Hotel has only six floors and we got Room 42 on the fourth floor. When we opened the curtains we had the most amazing view of the Acropolis/Parthenon. Not to mention the hotel was centrally... More

Firstly, it has to be said that this hotel is in THE most amazing spot for the acropolis and other ancient attractions. We arrived for a very short one night stay and were upgraded to room 53. This is without a shadow of a doubt the best room in the hotel. 5th floor, with a large wraparound balcony directly looking... More

The location was perfect, right in the middle of Monastiraki square. Bathroom was slightly on the narrow side. Complimentary wine in the evening was a good finish to our Greece trip. Subway station was right next door. We were right below the roof top bar so there was noise from chairs/tables but we were pretty tired to care. The bar... More

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighborhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
