Neighborhood
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.

Great room, very smart and modern, lovely staff and view from restaurant and rooftop bar of the Acropolis was better than I expected - it was breath taking. Good value too. Breakfast was exceptional too. Bar and restaurant very busy with locals (a good sign I think) at lunch

Stayed in for a night. Perfect location close to Monastiriaki’s landmarks, smooth check in, spacious room. The evening sleep though became a challenge. A lot of loud noises at around 1 am. Don’t know exactly what was happening but seemed like either someone was working or

We loved our stay and have already booked our next visit! The location is central to Monastariki Square which is a lively neighborhood with many shops restaurants and pubs. Very walkable! At night the Acropolis is beautifully lighted and provides a wonderful backdrop for photos.

(3rd pic = 1st day, 4th pic = last day) I stayed this hotel 2 nights. You

This was my first time in Greece and am always anxious to know the conditions of the room and the location. I was relieved once I arrived. It was spacious compared to other rooms we booked on our European-ish tour. The staff arranged a car for us and everything. The location is

We must have further down on a lower floor from the rooftop. We did not hear any noise from the roof but depending on whether you are facing the street, there is a great view but a load of street noise from the square.

Hi I am not sure about the bed arrangement, but I have always found the room large and comfortable. The restaurant at the topfloor is -cool - for teens.

Sorry for my late reply. Travelling by ferry means arriving at the port in Piraeus. The best and safest way to get to Monastiraki is taking a taxi. After a bad experience with a pickpocket who got hold of my wallet in the subway I try to avoid these places, especially when I'm carrying luggage which means "I'm a tourist, rob me please"

You had better email the hotel for this concern but normally the hotels in Greece are very helpful and hospitable to their guests so I do not think there should be any problem leaving your belongings with the hotel provided that you'll be back staying with them again after your trip to the island.
