Getting off of the plane at the Athens airport we weren’t really sure how to get there but we had our Lonely Planet guide for Greece and read reviews about how it was cheapest to take the train. So we went over to the train station and figured out to get on the blue line which went to Monastiraki Square.... More

I do not think I could have handled the noise from a lower level room. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Starting at 7am sharp, there was construction noise until about 4pm. At about 9pm the sounds of drunk pedestrians and musicians last until about 3am. The restaurant delivered to our room. The food was very pleasing and the guy... More

Checked into the hotel and stayed on the 5th Floor with a room facing the Acropolis. While the room was small, the balcony was really large. If i didn't have so many things to do in Athens, I'd have just stayed on my balcony all day! The staff at breakfast were quite unhelpful and not very concerned about what guests... More

We visited A for Athens a year ago in August for my birthday! It's a lovely place with even more lovely view! Good place to enjoy a drink at night! Decent range of drinks and also nibbles are given for free with a drink! Definitely worth a visit :)!

Clean room, friendly staff with great service and the location is spectacular. You are in the heart of Monastariki square. The Metro (train station) is walking distance from the hotel, along with numerous restaurants on Psiri Street. The restaurant on the roof top is unbelievable. You can see the Acropolis along with other ruins located close by. The food at... More

The good news is, this is a great location, excellent breakfast restaurant on the roof with a spectacular view of the Acropolis. The room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bad news, there was construction work going on, which started early in the morning. Wouldn't mind except that the rooftop restaurant is a lively... Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighborhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
