The Gem Society Boutique Hotel & Spa is highly regarded for its modern and stylish ambiance, described as a tastefully decorated retreat by many guests. Its spotless rooms and commendable housekeeping staff receive consistent praise for maintaining cleanliness. Nestled in a prime location, the hotel is within easy walking distance of top attractions, restaurants, and shopping venues.
While most travelers enjoy the exceptional service and friendly staff, a few have noted room servicing issues. The hotel's amenities, especially the breakfast selection and well-appointed rooms, are frequently lauded, although a handful of guests miss personal touches. Despite these minor criticisms, the overall value of the hotel is celebrated for its affordability and quality, making it a popular choice among visitors.

This new boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Athens is truly exceptional. We decided to spend 3 nights in Athens before making our way down to the islands for a much needed vacation. Little did we know that our wonderful Greek experience was to begin the moment we walked through the doors of the Gem society boutique hotel. The staff treated us like we were family, so kind and attentive, yet friendly and relaxed - much like the overall atmosphere at this wonderful hotel. They paid attention to every detail and request we had, guided us to have the most amazing time in Athens - a city that exceeded every expectation, and provided us with an immaculate room that was modern, stylish and very comfortable - the pillow menu was an added bonus! One thing that stood out was the passion for hospitality and making us feel at home and special… The outrageously delicious and freshly prepared breakfast wasn’t too bad either!! Thank you so much for a superb stay. We can’t wait to return.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and gave excellent customer service. The rooms are very stylish with extremely comfortable beds and a powerful rain shower in the bathroom area! Breakfast was good too. The location is a short walk to the shopping district. We walked everywhere so if you enjoy walking around cities you can also easily walk to the Acropolis. Although the spa was closed on our visit we were able to book massages and the 2 masseurs were excellent. If we had another holiday in Athens we'd definitely stay here again.

This was an ideal place to stay for our 2 days exploring Athens.
The hotel is located about a 15/20mins walk to the main sites and you’ll find lots of trendy bars and places to eat nearby. Getting taxi’s to and from the hotel was relatively easy (we used a local Taxi app).
We opted for the slightly larger double room which was spacious and clean. Complimentary water bottles were provided each day which was nice.
Given the location there are no ‘views’ from this hotel, as it’s located on a semi-busy urban street but that wasn’t an issue for us as we spent most of our time outside. When we were in the room it wasn’t noisy at all outside and the blackout curtains were effective at blocking out street lights.
Staff were friendly and efficient. Access to rooms was past the main reception desk and it was clear whoever was manning the desk was also keeping an eye on individuals coming and going from the property, which made you feel safe.
The breakfasts were made to order with plenty of options and the use of good quality ingredients, portions were large and the meal quite filling. We especially enjoyed the fresh orange juice provided each day.
We didn’t have time to use the spa but its a nice touch to have one in the property.
The main reason for us booking this hotel in the first place was the price. It was incredibly competitive compared to others in the same area and perfect for a short stay.
Following the visit we can now appreciate just how much value for money this hotel was, when we consider its location, spacious room, excellent food and welcoming staff.
I would highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is a true gem and conveniently located in the heart of Athens.
If you’re hung up on pristine and posh surroundings without being pretentious, then this hotel is for you. And if none of these things bother you, this is also for you as you’ll start to appreciate the importance of well considered design as you live through the nights in this magnificent edifice.
For me, I especially loved the impeccable customer service. It’s second to none. Thanks to the owner, Henry, Thanks, Operations manager, Johanis and the rest who truly understand the value of great service.
The rooms have a sense of quality and precision about them. If you’re in town for meetings, make sure you set your alarm as the comfy beds will render you completely late! Start your day with a nice and warm rain shower in the walk-in shower. Then grab a healthy, but tasty breakfast from the bistro. Thank me later. The interesting combination of flavours will have your taste buds asking for more. So yum!
Dinner time needn’t be a dilemma. And don’t bother booking any restaurants in town as the service you’ll receive at dinner, as well as the carefully curated menu (try the langoustine salad and tagliatelle) will have you wanting to sample everything. I could go on forever, but take my word—it’s well worth every penny. Book it!

Spacious super comfortable rooms, we stayed with our 2 daughters in 2 interconnecting rooms and felt like being at home... Every detail is well thought-out across the property, we particularly loved the walk-in showers. The hotel also has a beautiful spa, Almaz Spa, with an outstanding Therapist, ask for Diana! With a Hammam, Jacuzzi, and treatment rooms, it has it all. The restaurant on the ground floor, Muse Bistro, serves exquisite Mediterranean cuisine. It's a great place to brunch, lunch, a nice coffee, smoothies, and of course dinner.

If you want to have a five-star experience at a reasonable price, The Gem Society is the place you are looking for.
Located at the centre of Athens, the boutique hotel offers a selection of facilities including a spa (which is wonderful and very clean by the way). Besides, as a food lover, I can say with confidence that the Gem Society Restaurant is one of the best places I’ve been to when travelling. Every meal is highly refined and perfectly seasoned, traditional Greek recipes are revisited with a twist of deliciousness.
The hotel is spotless, the hosts are very welcoming and helpful, and the entire place is decorated with taste... Everything you need to feel at home!
P.S: If you go to the restaurant (Muse Bistro Athens) I recommend the Anchovies Tartare and the Stuffed Zucchini.

We just stayed for 3 nights with our 2 children at The Gem Society, for our first visit to Athens, and we had little (or no) visibility of what to do during our stay, besides the classic visits (acropolis, plaka, ...). The staff went overboard to recommend the best things to do as a family, helped us and arranged bookings, transport, and all that followed... Needless to say that we stayed in 2 interconnected rooms, which was a bliss for me, as it allowed some privacy when the children fell asleep.
Rooms are very spacious and quiet, the beds are truly comfortable, and we even got to pick our type of pillow.
The food at Muse Bistro is exquisite, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner; they even prepared some special dishes for our 8 year boy, who is rather picky.
I can't wait to go back...!

Just left the Gem Society hotel this morning to travel to Syros by Ferry from Piraeus. I can only praise the hotel, from the staff who are helpful, friendly & hospitable. The rooms that are clean and well equipped and the restaurant where the food is amazing.
We stayed four nights in the Gem Society arriving late on a Saturday evening. Their bistro is open until midnight and we were able to have a light meal and drinks before bed. Table service breakfast is served from 7 to 11 in the restaurant with a choice of Greek yogurt, cereal, eggs, salad etc coffee and tea.
We had a standard room which only cost €330 for 4 nights, which is great value for the quality of the hotel and the location. It’s a 10/15 stroll to Monastariki Square.
The staff are lovely, making you feel welcome, ensuring you have the best stay possible. The hotel arranged our early morning taxi to the port with a trusted driver, who kept us entertained for the ride.
I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Athens for a few days and would not hesitate to return in the future.

Brand new boutique hotel in the heart of Athens, very well located and walking distance from all nice spots and sightseeing places. Service was amazing, the hotel is super clean, the food was very tasty. The staff is very professional while being close to the customer, what you would expect from a boutique hotel (vs large chain ones). I highly recommend the rooms on the higher floors with spacious terraces, perfect for chilling in the morning or after a busy day strolling around the city. Highly recommended hotel.

We love the Gem Society Hotel! All the staff became like family and the food and service was awesome! The location was perfect for walking to main attractions, but still quiet and not crowded with people when you walked outside. The extra large bed was huge and we felt like royalty! It made it hard to leave the hotel to go site seeing, but returning to this homebase was extra rejuvenating to rest before going out again. We were so sad to leave!

Greetings! Yes, our rooms have a secluded, walk-in, open sink area. Both the toilet and shower are promptly separated with obscured glass doors that don't allow visibility.
Best Regards, The Gem Society Hotel Team.
We had the deluxe room. The balcony was lovely and big but the room was very small. It didn’t matter though, we were hardly there. It was super clean and with all you needed. We only had breakfast because of covid, very little was functioning normally. They were lovely people and couldn’t do enough for us. We even had a very early takeaway breakfast the day we were leaving for the boat to Mykonos. Great location too.
