We had 1 night in Athens and found the location of Still Athens to be absolutely perfect - just a 5 minute walk to Monastiraki area. It is a small hotel, spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and hot shower. The host, Alex, was particularly helpful. He stored our luggage on the morning we left for us and arranged an earlier breakfast so that we could get into the Acropolis in good time. It worked very well for us.

We stayed at Still Athens for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, a spotless bathroom with an incredibly powerful shower, as well as a sofabed which we didn't actually use but looked comfortable enough. The only real downside was the noise occasionally - to be expected in a city centre location, but some of our fellow residents were quite rowdy when they came home and the sound did travel a bit! The hotel's location is excellent - within easy walking distance of just about everything you'll want to visit, and a short walk from Monastiraki metro station for anything farther away. But by far the best thing about our stay was Alex the owner - he was friendly and welcoming from the off, always interested in our plans for the day and providing suggestions of his own to complement them. His restaurant recommendations were a godsend too, so I definitely recommend speaking to him once you're settled in and he'll be able to recommend several lovely family-run tavernas in the area. All in all, this was a fantastic base to explore Athens from, that enabled us to be right in the heart of the city but still relax and unwind after a busy day of sightseeing.

DO NOT BOOK!!!! TOTALLY SCAMMED BY THIS HOTEL!! We tried to book and supposedly got the last room available. I got NO confirmation e-mail or details at all, so the booking was not finished on his end. I figured there was an error so I just booked a different hotel. A month later there was a charge on my credit card. I contacted him directly and he made up a bogus story about how my husband checked in the day after the original day booked and "stayed in room 101 alone." I WAS WITH MY HUSBAND on this trip, why on earth would he think this story feasible? Also at the time he specified, we were in a totally different city across the country in Northern Greece. This was a flat lie. He was rude and unprofessional and totally refused to solve the issue. I asked to see his supposed "camera evidence" and he said "it's not for sharing." If you want to book a hotel and give them all your credit card information and then get charged and lied to for services never received, and for a totally different day than you tried to book...I mean really. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.

Simple but what else do you need for a stop over! Very clean rooms and comfy bed and pillows! Very friendly , knowledgeable and welcoming staff. Coffee making facilities and includes breakfast at a local cafe : restaurant - no good for plant based / vegan food sadly so ate tasteless toast with jam!! Better if the room had a kettle for tea making !

Decent stay here for a quick trip to Athens. None of the perks of a bigger hotel but it gets the job done. Alex was friendly as well. We really liked the location of this hotel as well. Nothing to complain about here, just do not expect to be blown away either.

My partner and I lived there for four nights. This hotel has a perfect location, safe community (told by taxi drivers), and walking distance to all major tourist attractions. Meanwhile, it’s very quiet. The owner, Alex, is super nice, warm-hearted, and resourceful. He helped us plan the trips and can make recommendations of coffee shops and restaurants based on your preference and budget. You can also talk with him to learn about local’s life. Alex is also very tough and hardworking. He started this business right before the pandemic and managed to survive the disastrous years – that’s amazing. The room is spacious and perfect for a family trip. There is no pool, 24-hour cafeteria, or lobby, which is absolutely fine for us – that’s not what we’re looking for in Athens. The hotel has a password-protected door. You need to let Alex know your arrival time so he can get you in. Due to communication issues, we could not do that, so Alex waited for us for hours outside. Sorry about that! We used Welcome Pickups for airport transportation. It’s a door-to-door service with a one-way cost of $50. It’s overpriced (the driver needs to pay a commission fee), but you can have ease of mind.

Nice little hotel. Convenient location. Clean. Super friendly owner. Location wasn’t accessible by taxi from airport. Bedspread was found in closet (thought it was a mattress pad - froze as all we had was a sheet). Zero counter space in bathroom and very poor lighting. Website said “airport transportation” but don’t be deceived. It meant he would arrange for airport transportation- $50 for 2 - one way - and this taxi could come to the front door.

Room Tip: Airport taxi won’t deliver to door. The “included breakfast” is a pizza place which only served...

This is a new hotel that survived the worst of the COVID crisis. The owner is Alex. He lives on the property and is personally available for any issue that might arise- down to the smallest detail. The hotel has no real lobby, but that doesn't matter. The rooms are all in the best possible condition, with a number of amenities and features that not all up-to-date places offer, including the most powerful wifi I've ever found in a hotel. The location is good, offering access to much of what a tourist would wish to do in Athens. In terms of value-for-the-money, this is an excellent choice. And again- Alex's kindness toward and attention to guests is extraordinary. By the way, breakfast is included at a nearby restaurant.

Excellent and exceptional accommodation and customer service by the owner and staff who are always at hand to offer advice about Athens sites, restaurants etc. We spent our May half term family holidays there and had a fantastic time - Greek hospitality and its beauty is unbeatable! We highly recommend this hotel to families because of superb customer service, comfort, its proximity to the local attractions and restaurants. Magdalena, Max and Alex

Doesn’t get much better than this. The hotel is clean, comfortable, quiet and perfectly situated in the city - walking distance of Plaka, the Agora, the Acropolis and everything else. But the best attribute is the owner Alex. He’s a friendly and genuine guy who gave us fantastic recommendations throughout our stay. All of the best restaurants we went to for food, atmosphere and location were recommended by Alex. He gave us the scenic routes around the city to the main attractions and had some brilliant suggestions for relaxing evenings including a great location for enjoying live music and drinks in the Psyri district. I’ve never had a better customer service experience. Couldn’t recommend it more highly and looking forward to our next visit!
