Nice hotel with clean and good looking rooms. The only defect is the soundproofing which is really not good with the outside and the corridor. The breakfast is really great. Finally the best advantage of the hotel is its location. It is just perfect !
Micron 18 - amazing view and terrace from room 14 - Deluxe Suite with Acropolis View & Terrace. Surprise, there’s a tub outside w/ a magic water wand should one feel the need. Pretty Spacious room by Athens standards; well-appointed with coffee makers and nice bathroom products. Very clean room and hotel - great comfy bed and linens. Well serviced by staff when needed. Hotel does a great job re: COVID-19 santitations making us feel very comfortable. Front desk staff and service were implausibly helpful and kind. I’m talking about you Michael, Kristina and Stella. The front desk isn't staffed 24/7, but Michael waited until after 1am - an hour later than expected due to a delayed flight to ensure we were checked in and taken care of. They arranged a day trip to Sounion w/ a professional tour guide with a very comfortable 10 person Mercedes tour car. He brought us to a killer seaside restaurant where we picked out the fish we wanted to be grilled. I offer this because it illustrates the nature of the affiliations and quality that can expect from the hotel. The neighborhood is great- close to Monastiraki and Plaka and it made for an easy walk to the acropolis. Lots of places for coffee, restaurants, and bars all within a minute or five from the hotel. We arrived at 1:15am on a Saturday night and the block was raging w/ 20-somethings doing what i did at 20something. During the day it fun area to walk around and close to all tourist locations. A very wonderful breakfast buffet options kept us fueled for the days' activities. The bathroom and shower stall are separate rooms; which is quite nice. However, the doors are glass and don’t go all the way to the floor or ceiling. Given I'm known to toot loudly when using the washroom, it didn't offer full privacy. Also when using the shower during peak morning hours, hot water to top floor was more warm than hot; though off-peak times the shower water was plenty hot w/ very good pressure. Out of four showers - on four nights; 2 were more warm than hot. But water pressure was great and the shower was clean. All told 8/10 or 9/10. Would I recommend to others and stay again myself - yes. That should tell you how much we enjoyed it. And again the staff was very personable and ensured we had what we needed. They provided a nice surprise gift upon arrival and we enjoyed the boutique nature of the hotel. Efcharisto, you guys.…
Our family of four stayed in the Micon lofts. Excellent apartment with modern kitchenette. Everything was very clean and well appointed. Modern minimalist bathroom with walls of glass to bring in lots of light. Lots of closet storage. Excellent location near Acropolis, restaurants and bars. AC worked great on the hot days. Only cons: double sleeper sofa a bit small for our two kids, restaurant music can go late into the night and be loud. But this place is a great landing spot in the city and we would definitely stay here again.
This was our first time to Greece and we narrowed our hotels choices to this place. We are glad we did! Great location to many historic sites. Michael and Natasha were awesome! Very helpful and willing at any time to assist with our questions. We had the transfer from the airport set up by the hotel and we could ask for a smoother transition to the hotel. Thank you 18 Micon Str. for a wonderful stay. We will be back!
My family and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights from May 26 - May 29 while in Athens. We stayed in rooms 6 and 7 on the second floor. I totally give it 5 stars. The front door staff, Nicholas, was a highlight to our stay at 18 Micon. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms. The toilet and the walk-in shower are separated. The bed was comfortable. The room has a Nespresso machine inside. There was free breakfast every morning. The hotel is located in the heart of Psyrri. You can't find a better location. You walk a few minutes and you are in the Monastiraki Square and a little further and you are in Syntagma Square. Ermou street, where all the shopping happens, is close by as well. Hundreds of restaurants are around you. The only problem you will have is to decide on which restaurant to eat at. Again, the front desk / Nicholas was the highlight of the hotel for us. We had an early morning flight one morning, and Nicholas prepared for us a takeaway breakfast to eat at the airport. Please note that after 11 pm or 23:00 hour, the hotel is no longer staffed (it's not staffed 24 hours is what I mean). My family and I all enjoyed our stay at 18 Micon and would HIGHLY recommend it. Greek hospitality was one of the best and most memorable parts of our Greece vacation. I'm already missing Greece.…
