I've spent lots of times in various cheap hostels, so I more or less know, what can I get for 10 euro. But it was first time I was in such deep shock. This hostel needs renovation more than anything else - especially the common space (shower is a disaster, kitchen is ugly and dirty, they're asking you to wash... More

The place was very clean. The rooms were in a good shape, so was the bathroom. Pricen were more than reasonable. The impression of our stay was devastated by the contact with the owner. We had to sleep in an another histel our first night. It was terribly noisy! Another thing is the smoking policy. They smoke everywhere! In the... More

For the good price that the rooms are offered, the hotel is fine. It is good for you if the aim you want the room/bed is just to go to sleep. The room has a nice balcony and is close to the center . The stuff attending is nice and helpfull and you can use the computers and print your... More

We wanted somewhere cheep to stay the night (a clean bed and hot water for a shower in the morning) and that's what we got... we knew at such a low price (16€ for 2 people) we wouldn't be getting the Hilton. The room and the bedding seemed clean (you could always buy some cheep bedding to put over what... More

A friend and I were traveling to Athens but hadn't booked ahead of time. Budget was the primary concern, and budget is the primary value of Athens House. We read the reviews beforehand, so we knew what we were getting into, and that's important: if you need the cheapest place possible in the center of Athens and you don't care... More

This hostel was awful. There were prostitutes in the neighborhood and tons of trash and abandoned buildings. I felt so unsafe. This feeling intensified as we got to the hostel by a old rickety elevator that didn't even have a door on it. The receptionist was rude, unhelpful and reeked of smoke. She smoked right in the lounge and it... More

We should have read TripAdvisor reviews before booking this place, we knew we were in for an interesting stay as soon as we exited the nearest Metro....this area is the ghetto! Before we even entered the hotel we noticed the "working girls" directly across the street as well as all the leery men these types attract. The lift is dodgy... More

My friend and I were lured by the low price of rooms here, 11€ each, but the place is terrible! Do not stay here even if you want something cheap. It says it is just place for students and families but do not go there! The 'man' working there was extremely rude and unpolite, swearing on greek and locking himself... More

I was given a room with bed bugs which started scratching me during the night and sheets got full of blood and when i started squeezing the bugs they were full of blood too. I asked to be moved to another room which seemed ok but thinking of the previous room I stayed awake all night. I wasn't very pleased... More

As I sit writing this review I am watching the bed bugs crawl across my pillow. Yes, plural bed bugS. The area outside is intimidating loud and scary for a woman traveling on my own. Only one elevator works. But don't take the stairs.... You don't want to see what the lower floors look like (it looks like a prison).... More
