You definitely need to use the public transportation. You can walk also, however it will take at least 45 minutes to the center of Athens. Rooms were spacious, clean and carpated (at least mine was clean). Breakfast was OK. I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling with a budget. However, if there is a strike then this hotel...

The hotel was very good and clean but nothing exeptional. The bed.was not very comfortable. What I did not like is that there was no blanket in the room. I was frozen to death. Appart of that I had a plesant stay.

For the price and location go elsewhere. The lady was very friendly at reception but the room was awful. Aircons didn't work and the bathroom atrocious. We were offered a better room for 10 euro more but decided to leave

Hotel Xenophon is loacated in a nice area close the main roads, and close to the train station!!! There are many shops close to the hotel wich is a real plus. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is very friendly and informative... The hotel rooms are dated and do need renovation, but if you don't mind this like...

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. It is located between two subway stops but not on a main street. The subway runs on the surface near the hotel's street but we did not hear it from our room. The neighbor was a mixture of shops and residences. Several food places and a neighborhood market are within easy walk...

Apollo hotel asked if we like to change to this hotel, because Apollo hotel had some kind of problems. So we did. It was more far away from "sight seeing" than Apollo hotel but we use metro. Hotel is looking outside okey but when you´re going in you´re in 60´s or something. Old carpetfloors, furniture and furniture. Balcony was a...

This hotel is very inexpensive, has a very nice breakfast and is very comfortable and clean. The location is ok. Stayed here one night and would definitely stay again! The reception is very helpful and is open 24h which is nice!

The location of this hotel is very bad. It's in a arab neighbourhood, in between car repair shops. The higher rooms have a nice view (lucky to get a room in a high floor facing Acropolis). The building is very old and could use some renovation. Most visitors where middle eastern (not many tourists there) and smoking is allowed everywhere...

This hotel might come into the "cheap & cheerful" category, except the staff weren't particularly cheerful. Smallish room, with a big balcony, on the 6th floor, gave us some interesting views. We could even see the Acropolis, in the distance, on the second morning. There is a bar, which stays open late, but seems a bit limited in what it...

We only stayed for 2 nights at Xenophon, but it was worth the money we paid. Of course, we are not demanding, a good bed and hot water is all we needed. The location of the hotel was very convenient, as we were able to walk to most of the tourist attractions in Athens.
