I stayed in a private room with a balcony for 3 nights solo. I was arrive at ~3am from the airport so I wanted somewhere that felt safe. The street was very well lit and there is a 24 hour reception. The room was great, had aircon that worked well and an ensuite. The hostel bar has a nice view of the acropolis although when I was there the bar was pretty empty. Great location though to all the archeology sites as well as safe walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Never had to walk longer than 15 minutes to get anywhere.

We wanted to go to a roof top bar in Athens that was suitable for a family and not too pretentious or expensive. The Safestay roof top bar was just perfect for us. Super friendly staff, great food and an incredible view of not just The Acropolis but the sunset side too. A real gem.

Ir was very clean and a great location however there were a few things that made me wish I’d stayed somewhere else… The staff was very unfriendly and every time I asked a question I felt like my presence was a major inconvenience. Not only that, but some had quite an attitude. They were also very stingy with the air conditioning in the rooms and it would come on for 30 mins every few hours, which doesn’t matter until it’s the summer and no one in the room can sleep because it’s too hot. It a nice rooftop, but since there are so many hostel options in Athens I wouldn’t choose to stay there again.

Pretty standard hostel. Breakfast is a little expensive but good (bread, tea and coffee, Greek yogurt, muesli/cereal, hard boiled eggs, cheeses and meats, tomatoes and cucumbers). The rooms have big lockers and a decent bathroom, but are a little noisy and the bunk beds are creaky/unstable. No soap in the bathrooms but relatively clean. Wifi is good. Location is excellent, being just around the corner from Monastiraki Station and across the street from the square, which has a great view of the Acropolis. You can quite easily get here from the airport via the metro. Though there's an elevator to the rooms, the laundry and storage facilities are *not* accessible. Though I don't have any mobility issues, I've been travelling long-term and my bag is over 50lbs (25kg) so it was extremely difficult going up and down a narrow spiral staircase with no railing multiple times. The laundry isn't self-serve and is a little pricey (5 euro for washing, 2 euro for drying) — and in typical European style the dryers leave your clothes soggy. If you want to do your own laundry there's a laundromat quite literally right around the corner which is slightly cheaper if you already have soap (5 euros for washing but 1 euro for drying). It's fast and their dryers work well. I stayed only two nights here but enjoyed both nights. Reception was friendly and so were my roommates. If you're travelling light and don't have mobility issues you won't have any issue here — it's a great hostel and I wish I had checked out the rooftop bar while I was there!

Absolutely loved it here, ideal location (literally 2 mins walk to Monastiraki Square) and really friendly staff. The room was relatively small but we personally didn’t need anything bigger. We had a private double room and we only stayed for 2 nights. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the street. The rooftop bar was also a major bonus with incredible views of the city and the acropolis. Incredible value for money. If you’re looking for a central place to stay on a budget in Athens, this is the place to go.

Great but very noicy from other guests. Nice room and friendly staff. The rooftop bar was the greatest! However loud music from the hotel corridor (party in the corridors) was really annoying and was all night. But overall very great and recommendable

It seems Athens Style has somekind of a monopoly, because of the nice view in the terrace, but some the personnel is unbelievably unfriendly, as if they almost don't want customers. Flexibility is zero and I will never come back here, unless they change their policy and treat customers like a customer, and not like someone who is just there to pay the bill. I've been there last year and they were rude and this year just for a drink, to see if they learned some new habits, but in both situations they made me decide never to come back!

This is a very well located hostel (easy to get to the airport and ferry port on metro trains from nearby Monastiraki station) with friendly staff.I was in the mixed 4 bed dorm. The beds were clean with each bed having a electric power point adjacent to it.Towels weren't provided, but available on request.Bathroom was onsuite and shower adequate. The bathroom bin could've been cleaned out a bit more regularly. The best part of the hostel is the rooftop bar where one gets a great view of the acropolis!Breakfast was also not bad for €3 (a mixture of cereal and breads/meats). I'd recommend

Stayed with my wife at Athenstyle for 4 days in a double ensuite room. Unbeateable location in a lively neighborhood full of cafes, bars, tavernas. Short walking distance to all attractions and night life. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Our room was in the second building across the street and had a balcony. Very clean and comfortable. Rooftop bar with amazing view of Acropolis and the city. Last but not least Chris is a great host made our stay even more enjoyable with many tips and recommendations.

AthenStyle is great for its location to everything! Just a short walk to all the sights, bars, restauarants etc you may want. The hostel itself is cool, has a great rooftop bar with plenty of space and it’s easy to meet people. My only annoyance is the air conditioning which is always soooo hot. It must be auto set on like 26 degrees because we are never cool. Otherwise no complaints :) thanks for another great stay!
