I stayed here with friends and family for 4 days last month. Certainly NO complaints at all. This place was really good!
Excellent Location, very near the metro and bus stops, good locality, great breakfast options (very YUM!) and excellent hospitality (special mention for the...More
Had a great stay here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Well located for a site seeing holiday in Athens just a short transfer from the airport. Rooms to a high standard and very well kept. Great views from the balcony (we were on 6th floor)....More
Greeted at the door by a Manager with a friendly smile and welcome. He was very generous with his time and advice on a range of questions first time visitors always have on a first time visit to a city.

The area looks tacky, but so much of Athens does now. We stayed for a week and never felt unsafe. The rooms are a good size, ours had a mini-fridge, large balcony, and large shower. The breakfast is varied, esp. liked the olives, boiled eggs,...More

Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as
its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).

Oh, wow, parking is an issue in this place. You know, it is exarchia, sometimes people live and fight on the streets. There is a rare space of free parking, but what about the safety? There are some parking lots around, where you can park, but they are expensive. I am not sure, but I think, it is about 22€ more or less a day. Call Frank from the desk at Areos Hotel, he knows everything.
