We stayed in Pond house 2 at the TEC. Containing a large porch overlooking the pond, the large accommodation was totally screened. There was a queen bed and twin bed on one side, and two twin beds on the other. A kitchen and bathroom with shower separated the sleeping areas. There was a 4-cup drip coffee maker, dish soap, dry... Stay at the eco lodge and take the night tour of the zoo. The lodge is a working research facility and the zoo makes a serious contribution to the environmental research and preservation effort in Belize. The lodge rooms are nice, the food is solid and the staff is amazing.

We stayed in one of the Cabanas. It was very well wrapped with screening and therefore no issues with bugs. We had a nice sitting area, small kitchen area, and 2 beds. No AC but there was a ceiling fan the size of an airplane propeller above the beds. We were given a ride over to the Zoo, had dinner... More

Stayed in the shared bunk cabins as a part of a school group and loved every minute of my time there. The staff is great, the food they prepare for you is delicious, and the place is kept clean and tidy. Loved being in the middle of the jungle savanna, and there were critters galore. Definitely returning to this place... More

The staff is super friendly. The food was great. There are several options for lodging but I stayed in the forest cabanas and was in heaven looking out at the forest 360 degrees around me. The trails right outside your door offer great hiking and you'll get to see a lot of wildlife.

I camped here two days. It was absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly. They served breakfast and dinner for a nominal fee. The profits go to support the Belize Zoo, which is a habitat for endangered Belizean wildlife and other surrendered animals. The zoo is small but you can spend at least 3 hrs there and it is VERY interesting... More

The view at the TEC is breathtaking. The staff is nice and friendly and they make you feel right at home. I took a group of students stay at the TEC and conduct Savannah studies and they all loved it. It made them feel connected with nature.
