I camped here two days. It was absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly. They served breakfast and dinner for a nominal fee. The profits go to support the Belize Zoo, which is a habitat for endangered Belizean wildlife and other surrendered animals. The zoo is small but you can spend at least 3 hrs there and it is VERY interesting... More

The view at the TEC is breathtaking. The staff is nice and friendly and they make you feel right at home. I took a group of students stay at the TEC and conduct Savannah studies and they all loved it. It made them feel connected with nature.

Everybody was nice and very helpful! Delicious food, amazing animals, great trails, and lovely cabanas! On my nine day stay at the Tropical Education Center, my group was able to become friends with people who work there (and we're still in touch!), hike the trails, see the zoo in detail, and play soccer with locals!

Cabanas were our shelter for one night on a tour of Belize. The night tour of the Zoo was exciting, and educational, punctuated by the howler monkeys' protestations. Toilets and showers are in a common central house. The central cafeteria offers good food and notes on what fauna has been spotted recently (fer-de-lance get your attention).

What a wonderful way to begin a trip to western Belize! Peaceful, comfortable and super neat vs. everyday life in the states. The food was great - as was the guided "night tour" to the Belize Zoo. Also, the staff was knowledgeable and courteous, and the grounds were nature at its best! Turtles, caiman and many birds were seen from... More

We stayed for two nights and wished we had time for a third. The cabanas were clean, the bedding fresh and the night sounds unforgettable. You do have to walk from your cabana to the washroom area and to the dining room but the paths are well lighted and you don't need a flashlight or headlamp. Breakfast and dinner are... More

We called in the morning to book a room for that night. Breakfast and supper is built into the price (we stayed in a cabana with a double bed) and it was a good, relaxing stay. We saw birds, iguanas, beetles, turtles, a crocodile and more. We only stayed one night because of our schedule but would easily have stayed... More

My husband and I stayed one night at the Pond House before we left for the airport the next day. It was a great way to end our trip! The staff was helpful, food was great (breakfast and dinner provided!), and the room was comfortable and clean. The Pond House has it's own shower. There is so much wildlife to... More
