I spent over a month at the Phanyro while I was doing some volunteering in Sen Monorom. The rooms have a double bed and bathroom which is all you need as there are lots of choices for food in the town at reasonable prices. The owners of the guesthouse were always helpful and took very good care of me during... More

So the guesthouse itself was great, it was clean, spacious, well looked after and convenient for getting into the main hub to access restaurants and tour operators. However, it was distressing to see a husky, a dog bred to run long distances in cold climates, confined to a cage containing an old beer can that was far too small (he... More

We stayed here for three months so I guess you can tell we liked it a lot! The owners are great, the rooms are great. They clean every day, hot water via solar panels is perfect because it can be pretty cold in Sen Monorom sometimes. I really want to go back!

I visit Sen Monorom often for work and stay here everytime. The staff speak English and are helpful, the rooms are basic but are clean and tasteful. Staying here is very easy and hassle free. Another big selling point for me is that they have a generator and fast WiFi. Many other hotels in town do not have a generator... More

The owners are wonderful, very helpful. Good location, five minute walking from the tourist bar, and ten from the local market (city center). Rooms are big and clean and the whole place is looks great. You get more then what you pay for!

Having gone to Mondulkiri and Ratanakkiri since 1998, I am saddened by the drastic diminution of indigenous culture and presence, which is by far the greatest attraction to go there - provided of course you appreciate it but leave it intact. So really what is offered these days is Khmerization, i.e. extensions to what is offered for Angkor Wat at... More

I stayed in one of these bungalows for two weeks whilst volunteering for the resource centre. My room was a decent size, it was cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided. Theres also hot water, a fan and a TV. The family running the place were lovely and happy to help with anything! My only complaint, and its not... More

I stayed here while visiting the Elephant Valley Project in neighbouring Mondulkiri. The bungalows were clean and comfortable and had an ensuite bathroom, air con, wifi and a tv. The staff were friendly even with their limited English. I stayed here alone and felt perfectly safe while in my bungalow with the door locked, however, the walk from town late... More

Stayed at the Phanyro for almost a week while in Sen Monorom and was very impressed. Phanyro is a collection of small cottages/bungalows setup in a large U formation. Each bungalow is very large. The rooms have a large in room bathroom, a TV that gets many channels, a large bed, nightstand, small cabinet and a strong fan. The place... More
