We are so happy we booked our stay with Coco’s and will come back. Have already recommended it to many friends! The place looks EXACTLY like the photos - no catfishing here!!! The staff is attentive, accommodating and so friendly - they always greet you with a smile. And they generally remember little things about you - like the fact that I would like to come to breakfast early and bring a pot of coffee back to my room to wake up a bit first before formally coming to breakfast. (There is room service for an additional charge and it is easy enough to get it yourself). The food is decent. Everything was tasty and very thoughtful. Portions were nicely sized without feeling too huge and everything was nicely arranged. If you’re looking for Michelin star food, this isn’t it, but I never left a meal feeling hungry or not well fed. The 2 beaches surrounding the property are awesome. The views are absolutely breathtaking around the entire property - from our personal cottage to the dining area to the sandy beaches. Jolly Harbour is a lovely part of the island. We booked an excursion to Cades reef with Mad Dog thru Keith - it was a perfect 2 hour adventure. The boat is small so it was easy to have personalized attention. We also enjoyed Linden’s lobster lunch. Try to book at least 1 day in advance. They had live music for 3 of the 4 nights we were there and we had so much fun dancing with the other hotel guests. The staff even joined us in dancing and it felt like a big party. They truly go the extra distance to take care of their guests. The only cons - the sun rises early in Antigua and the curtains in the rooms do not block much light. It might be purposeful as they don’t want you to miss all the beauty of the island while sleeping away the day. But I might recommend bringing a sleeping mask if you know you like to sleep a little later. And the only other con would be a lack of easy access to an ATM. The excursions are cash only and the closest ATM is about a 30-45 min walk down the beach and thru a nearby community. We had to make the trek a few times. Bring enough cash if you want to avoid that. And note that you can pay in USD pretty much everywhere on the island.

Hotel's Favorite
We extended our stay in Antigua due to the lockdown in London and without a doubt picking Cocos boutique hotel as our next destination was the best choice! From the moment we checked in we had the most amazing service from Namene Rodgers, she was so welcoming and lovely and upgraded us to a stunning sunset room which was literally like heaven in earth, breath taking views, unbelievably clean and just so quaint. We was shown straight to lunch where once again the wait staff were so helpful with their recommendations and the food was outstanding. We had just left another all inclusive hotel which wasn’t nearly as good as Cocos and with all inclusive you come to expect less than average food but I can assure you cocos does not fail in the food department at all...absolutely divine. We have travelled the whole of the Caribbean and yet to find better jerk chicken than what we received from Howayne on the beach, authentic Caribbean taste and such a warm lovely guy. My partner bumped into the owner outside our room and even himself was so accommodating and asking if there was anything he could improve...just impeccable service all round. Cocos is an absolute find ...we have one day left and we just don’t want to leave this hotel. Unbelievably clean, amazing service and the most stunning scenery your ever see ...perfection.

Response from Kris Krisendat, Marketing at COCOS Hotel Antigua (All Inclusive)

Dear Nikki, We're proud to have made what seemed like an unfortunate situation into one you'll never forget. Not only were you away on vacation but you had to extend your stay away from home due to the unforeseen lockdown which is as a result of the current pandemic. Everything happens for a reason and COCOS was chosen as your extension destination so you can see the different kind of experience that we offer. We've crossed all of our T's to ensure your eyes are dotted with stars as you relax on the balcony of our Sunset Cottage staring onto the horizon. And we didn't stop there, our kitchen is dedicated to preparing some of the best tasting Caribbean Cuisine you've ever sampled anywhere, as you can attest. Though retired, Mr. Michelin, often walks the property and even dines at the restaurant just to ensure that there's nothing lost on the standards he set. And he knows more than anyone that with time, things change, so he's always listening for tips and advices from guests on how we can better accommodate them. It was indeed a brilliant pleasure to have hosted you and we hope that you will revisit us, take care. Regards,

Cocos is an amazing resort and I highly recommend for a beach getaway! My significant other and I stayed a Cocos to celebrate his birthday. We booked a premium cottage view which did not disappoint, just like the photos! the private balcony view of the ocean was breathtaking! the outdoor shower was also a unique and nice touch to our room. The hospitality on this resort is some/if not the best ive experienced at a resort (I’m a avid global traveler). As soon as we arrived we felt the warm and friendly greeting from all the staff including a welcome drink as we checked in. Throughout our stay the staff were super friendly and accommodating and made sure to help us with our excursion planning and anything we needed. They were so fun we made friends with most of them and were sad to leave! shout out to Omario, Stephen, Ebony, Chiquira, Kamira, Nicolette, and more! ;) Many of the guests were also very friendly and we ended up making friends with them as well and hanging with other couples throughout our time there. The resort just creates that family and warm environment to do so. The beaches are absolutely beautiful, clear waters, warm and relaxing. Since covid they are pretty much empty aside from the Cocos guests so it really feels like a private beach. The beach vendors are also friendly and we ended up booking our jet ski and boat/snorkrlimg excurisons directly through them on the beach (as recommended from The staff) rather than giving our money to the big vacation vendors. This goes a long way for these beach vendors given covid, so I’d highly recommend doing the same. I’d also recommend getting fresh lobster lunch on the beach from the local man, Lyndon. Location is great! 20min taxi to St Johns 45 to the airport 45-1hr to shirley heights The hotel has connections with taxis so they book for you which relieves the need to figure out transportation yourself. In summary, i would HIGHLY recommend choosing cocos as your Antiguan stay, it won’t disappoint and you won’t want to leave!
