My wife and I booked this hotel for our honeymoon on recommendation from a friend. The staff was very friendly, the beach was peaceful, and the drinks were excellent! The meals were delicious and had a lot of variety and the snack bar had some really fantastic meals. Evening entertainment was fun and not over the top. Had a great time here!
An authentic, relaxing Caribbean stay... excellent food, service, and atmosphere. And the location and visuals are stellar. You want "regal Caribbean", go to a Sandals. You want REAL Caribbean, go to Cocos Hotel Antigua!
The hotel is in a good position and has 2 beautiful beaches. Service very good, for italians there’s few choices for breakfast. Overall food & beverage is good and the staff is very kind and funny. We recommend to go in the spring season because the weather is better, from june to september is hot and there’s a lot of humidity.
What a wonderful resort! Definitely read the "Is Cocos right for you?" section on the website. We called it "rustic luxury" after being there for a few days. We stayed in Cottage 2 with an amazing view of the ocean. The beach was never full during our stay. The food was outstanding -- we loved it all particularly the jerk chicken on the beach. The drinks were tasty and plentiful. The staff really set this resort apart from other places we have stayed. Everyone was happy and helpful. It appeared to me that the staff, while working hard, was also having fun. The staff really made everything from meals to beaches to bars even better.
We traveled here for our honeymoon and had the best time. The sunset pool cottage is phenomenal and 100% worth it. This place is very romantic and designed for couples. I could not recommend cocos hotel enough
Where to start! We have just spent 10 days at Coco's Antigua. The rustic cottage rooms and outside showers are so refreshing from concrete souless hotel's. Built on a bluff overlooking 2 wonderful beaches all the cottages have sea views! The food is all a la carte ( no awful buffet food ) and it is of the highest quality, every meal has been amazing. The thing that really makes Coco's stand out is the staff. A business is only as good as the people they employee. Everyone of the staff are truly wonderful, the service is 1st class. Not enough room to name them all but Shereen is so full of fun. So quite simply if you are looking for, location, quality, service, culinary delights and paradise don't go anywhere else but Coco's Hotel Antigua
We spent our honeymoon with Cocos Hotel and loved our entire trip. The staff was great and could not have been more friendly. Our room was cleaned daily and complimentary minibar was restocked daily. Our view from our cottage was breathtaking. The grounds were beautiful with flowers and greenery well taken care of and a hint of island wildlife appearing occasionally. We wish to return as soon as possible!
Excellent location with great beaches, although these were occasionally affected by unpleasant aromas from the nearby pond. Hotel description warns about hilly access to cottages which proved to be a little more challenging than expected. Our travelling companions found it necessary to request a move as their cottage number 24 was located down 40 steps after a steep upward climb. Hotel facilities and cottages were good but the rustic nature of the cottages tended to be quite basic and we encountered some plumbing issues. Staff were very friendly and whilst quality of food was good, although the planned daily menus were repeated weekly which was a little repetitive after our first week. Management were extremely helpful and responded quickly to resolve any issues and our overall experience was very positive.…
Beautiful resort, fabulous beach. Food and drinks excellent. Most staff friendly, although some appear to have their favourites. On occasion we ordered food with variations (eg no onion, no goats cheese etc) only to have them in the food, obviously request not listened to. The holiday was to celebrate a birthday and there was a lovely surprise of the bed being made up draped in flowers and balloons and at dinner a candle in the dessert and a happy birthday rendition. We stayed in Cottage No. 8, accommodation quaint but very dark, the only lighting in the main room was 2 bedside lamps that were very dull, the room required a main light to see things. There were not enough plugs and no suitable mirror near plugs for straightener’s etc. At night you could hear electric generator, fridge, together with noise from outside, frogs, crickets at night and people/staff talking from daylight, would recommend taking earplugs. No solid window in bathroom just wooden slats and netting. On our balcony we did not have the Adirondack chairs (as advertised) but had dining room chairs so no comfort there. We spent most of the holiday on Jolly Beach, which was lovely, we did visit the other beach on resort but only briefly as there was a strong sewage smell. Cottages need revamp especially furniture, lighting and window sound proofing, that said, the bed was very comfortable when you were able to get to sleep. Nightly entertainment varied, enjoyed musicians playing instruments but vocalists, an acquired taste. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. This is a small adults only resort which we appreciated and despite the above niggles, we did enjoy the holiday. …
I enjoyed my stay in cocos. The beach and water is amazing, the grounds are beautiful. Cottages are old and dated but hopefully will be renovated soon. Food is delicious. The receptionists are super nice, staff is attentive to guests needs..............................
