Second time visiting this hotel, it’s a great base for the lovely La Cala, clean tidy hotel, was all inclusive but had planned to eat out and enjoy the area in the evenings, food basic drinks ok cocktails terrible it’s a basic 3 star hotel in a great location evening inside bar is like gods waiting room, staff great and friendly other than the rude guy in the chill out late bar perhaps he is rude because he is alone up there waited 50 minutes for a drink shame as it’s a lovely area , we also were glad to see on out return that the rude man in reception was gone and the current staff are very helpful

nice hotel lovely staff at front desk and in dining room. bed a tad uncomfortable but you can't suit everyone food great breakfast and dinner. clean great location. the swimming pool I'd say was ok for kids. if you like swimming the pool is very shallow. but the sea is just outside the door.

It’s true. The pitures are the polar opposite of the reality. The check-in desk staff are rude and clearly irritated they need to ‘deal’ with you. On checking out, after handing room keys across the counter, the receptionist instisted they be put in a box right beside them. My mind genuinely boggles as to the mindset of these employees. The room floor was sticky on arrival, the room fridge empty and the bed was thrown together. Avoid at all costs.

Have to admit I was very apprehensive arriving at this hotel because of the negative reviews I’d read, I wasn’t sure what to expect, however I couldn’t of had a better experience, I told the hotel I’d had a back operation, they put toppers on the bed and gave us a very nice room, on arrival the staff could of been friendlier and helpful! We didn’t use the pool, but right by it is the beach with beds accessible with your room key out of a gate so we went there during the day. One of the days we had trouble getting in our room they sent someone up immediately and the problem was fixed immediately. The rooms were clean and had everything you need including a. Fridge, great wardrobe space etc. I saw some people complain about the breakfast room I thought it was fine, everything was kept on top of and hot, and most importantly clean. Good selection of everything you could want. There is a roof too bar which is popular if an evening serving cocktails etc and beautiful views, our room looked out over the beach and what some people described as a swamp which it’s not it infact over spill from the sea. All in all I thought this was a great hotel, staff were fabulous everyone greeted you with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Would defiantly use again

This is the place to be at! Not only the location is perfect, but the staff is amazing! We had a wedding and choose this as our hotel for the guests. Everyone was impressed by how good the services were. They all went the extra mile to make sure our stay was great. Thank you to the team!

I’ve never been so disappointed with a holiday hotel than the Vik Gran hotel. Having stayed at a range of different quality hotels, this was by far the worst in terms of value for money and quality and I would urge anyone to reconsider before booking. We ignored the previous bad reviews thinking they were from people with unrealistic expectations, however, for the Main, they were accurate. I am deeply disappointed in Jet2 who are still marketing and selling this holiday 3* plus. The hotel/holiday is not 3* worthy. The restaurant is based in a windowless room that reminds you of a prison canteen. There are plastic chairs and tables and drinks are served in large plastic jugs. When we arrived for lunch, We found The the food disgusting and off putting in terms of taste and presentation. We did not eat there again. The next day we tried the pool bar only to be offered a baguette tightly wrapped up in cling film, having been left out in the sun all day. I never thought a baguette could sweat until This day. The pool is shallow and not deep enough to swim. The loungers are on grass which inevitably gets wet so it’s like a mudslide- hence the dirt in the toilets also. I was staying in a room on my own (friends were next door) and it was only on the last day did I realise there were two doors to the balcony and one of them had been broken all week, meaning as a sole occupier, my room had been unlocked all week. When I enquired about late check out I was told the hotel was full, despite there being rooms available on booking.com. There are no shower facilities either and based on the state of the toilets, changing before home time when you’ve got a late flight proved very uncomfortable for a so called 4* hotel. There was a luggage room that we could put our bags in, only to find, when we returned to get our bags, that our suitcases had been put outside in the foyer and no longer in the locked room. On a positive, the location is brilliant. However, it’s a good job it was so close to amenities and restaurants because if you have decent expectation, you will want to eat out every day and night

Although our request was to have 2 rooms next to each other, we were placed at opposite ends of this very large hotel so constantly running along the hallways for stuff out of each room. The hotel is very dated and requires a complete overhaul. The central ‘runner’ carpets that run along the hallways are ancient, threadbare and filthy, I don’t understand why they are still there, they should be ripped up and the floor left bare wood like the rest of the hallway! You have to pay for the safe which I think is appalling considering the very high rate you are charged to stay there, they should be free. 50% of the staff are lovely and cheery, the other 50% clearly don’t want to be there. The food is basic and very bland, they have a bowl of yoghurt that is clearly not yogurt, don’t touch it, it’s vile! We stayed 5 nights half board, we had 3 breakfasts, ate out for 2, and 2 evening meals, ate out for 3 The only thing this hotel has to offer is the location, you can’t fault that.

Good position right on beach. Car parking awful limited spaces on site and visiting in August peak season on road parking a long walk from Hotel. Reception staff polite and helpful. Room quite large but dated bathroom basic but functional. Kettle and mugs provided. Beds awful uncomfortable with plastic mattress protector air con worked ok. Balcony with furniture and a sea view nice. Breakfast was adequate and plentiful buffet selection with hot choices as well as continental. Crowded pool area pool very shallow safe for kids but not much good for swimming.Although beach just steps away but could get crowded.Pool bar and chill out zone with good staff. Pleasant walk 10 minutes into town with plenty of bars and restaurants for all tastes properly better then the all inclusive offered by the hotel.(we were b&b only) Overall a 6 out of 10.

Overall a fair experience. Rooms were comfortable, in good deco with a decent balcony. Air con didn’t really do its job at all. Don’t expect a cool room. Thankfully there was a good breeze so we could leave our balcony door open (5th floor). We stayed b&b, breakfast was adequate but you could tell it was done on the cheap, runny jam in a large dispenser, yogurt in ready made up pots. The main issue was the poolside area. Not enough loungers unless you are prepared to do the ‘towel trick’ early morning and then selfishly leave it there all day despite you not being!!!! On several days we couldn’t get a lounger and when we could be prepared to be lying one foot away from a total stranger. The staff are friendly and efficient. I would go again but just not in high season or have breakfast.

Well-situated on the beach front, clean interior, hard-working staff throughout, helpful reception and pool bar staff. Rooms are fine; ours was situated at the front of the hotel overlooking local residential area and mountainous background scenery. The food was perfectly adequate but may perhaps benefit from clearer labelling . Would have been useful to better identify vegetarian options, but that's more personal preference than a criticism. Enjoyed our time with you. Thank you 🙂
