I am furious with the owner of this place as i had a reservation paid at 50% at the time of thr reservation ( in February fir a stay in May). I did not receive a mail confirming the receipt of the cash, although the bank has executed it properly, i called many many tomes, sent many emails and not a single response!!!! Untill a day i found a facebook page for this hotel were many exchanges among friend and the owner. I took advantage to contact him by facebook to ask for counts. Today only m, he responded: no excuses, no reimbursement no proposition for another stay. He did not even mentionned that his hotel is now open. How sad abd low professionalism! Covid crisis has and is still and may be in the future ompact all of us, but this does not mean that we should start abusing trust from each other! Then for me this owner is jot trustfull at all and i wonder how many another clients have been ripped off like me this year. Regards to all!…
We enjoyed our stay at Erva Doce...it lasted a day longer than planned due to an brief illness and the owners couldn't have been more kind in accommodating our additional night's stay. The location of this guesthouse is ideal and the rooms are spotlessly clean. We had breakfast both mornings in the cafe on the main level, which included eggs, toast, juice, and coffee. Everything you might need is within walking distance and the town is absolutely beautiful. If you stay here, you won't be disappointed!
The hotel is super cute and the view from the room is lovely. Everything was fine. The staff pleasant and cheerful. The bedroom overlooks the hotel’s restaurant and people have a festive time till midnight. Hard to sleep with that noise and passing car. If you are a light sleeper, this is not for you. Also, breakfast is served at 8:30, so if you are doing the Camino, expect a late start. The hotel terasse has nice snacks and drinks.
The owners and staff could not have been more helpful or more friendly. They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable....squeezing two extra beds in my room as 2 of our kids decided to join us. Breakfast was included and more than adequate served with lovely coffee and fresh juice. . We arrived during a time festival activities were being rehearsed so at night there was noise......not hotels fault.we would definitely recommend this little gem next to the river.
After a trying 25km walk we were met by a smiling host and a much needed bottle of water. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was immaculate, and the opportunity to have a soak in a very big bath was wonderful. As we were leaving early in the morning our breakfast was delivered to our room... absolutely delicious. I cannot fault this accommodation, and I recommend highly!
