It was a great experience at the hotel. All workers are very friendly, nice and helpful. All rooms are very clean. Everything was excellent. The museum at the hotel is funny. I would stay there again. Thank you for your hospitality and service.
This is ideally central to explore Porto. I'm so grateful to COVID for allowing me to explore this Historic City without the crowds. I feel less claustrophobic & stressed in such quiet surroundings. Although the excessive measures sadly will take down sooo many more trees, kill ecosystems with the copious amounts of Sanitizer being overused. Shame ! Panic & Dementia will cause more damage than any Nature's Virus.
Don’t be fooled by the photographs on the website...this is a very budget hotel with shabby furnishings. Our room was smelly and dirty, poor lights in the bathroom, broken hairdryer, toilet seat loose and hard beds. WiFi did not work in the room. Breakfast was pretty poor and you can do much better in Porto. Not 4 star accommodation.
Four of us stayed in a family room for three nights over New Year 2019. Our reception was very pleasant and the room spacious and clean. Breakfast was included and was excellent, a wide variety of food and drinks including vegan and soya choices. The night receptionist was very kind and let us in whenever necessary with good humour. There is no bar or restaurant but both nearby The décor is 50-60s and great fun, wonderful photos. Will definitely return.
The bathroom wasn’t clean (see pictures attached), there was hair on the floor. And nobody cleaned it after we complained about it. There is mold on the windows. Hairdryer is broken and very old. The carpet was dusty and dirty. Even after I provided feed-back nobody came to clean it! The bed sheets had hair and stains on them. The breakfast is pretty bad, the omelette was looking terrible ( contained some green parts) and the sausages were dry and as well looking terrible. The only thing you can eat was bread with butter and honey. The manager didn’t make himself available to deal with the situation. The reception staff was overwhelmed... they don’t know how to treat these situations. The hotel needs major renovations.
