We had a great room with a cozy access to a terrace and a modern bathroom and tastefull amenities. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was included in the price. The staff was very attentive and professional and ready to help with any questions. The hotel was close to restaurants, the Metro and other public transportation and walking distance to most...

Very good from the start, friendly professional welcome at reception. Room larger than the average city centre 3* hotel, clean, comfy bed, mini bar. That's the ordinary part and Acucar is far from ordinary, a hotel with a gynacologist's office on the 2nd floor? That's handy! No real lounge but you can have a seat in a row of aeroplane...

Tough review as this is a good place in general, but needs simple TLC t are it a solid 4 star. Maybe they had nicer rooms - for 134$ euros we had 4 adults (our choice) in one very large room. The room was extremely musty, stuffy and in need of paint and new rugs. Very clean washroom (newly renovated)....

Stayed here for only one night but we really enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. The hotel decor is quite amusing with the retro decorations taking you back to the 70's. The location is fantastic being at the center of the city

Fantastic location. Cordial, helpful staff. Loved the interior spiral staircase and vintage décor. Rooms plain but very clean. Excellent breakfast. One of the best restaurants in Porto across the street.

The hotel is centrally located in Porto walking distance to one of the main metro stations. The nearby plaza ond the riverside is quite close and well connedted with public transport. Having breakfast in the balcony was really nice.

The owner is an avid toy and nostalgia memorabilia collector and he has his treasures at the reception and on each floor of this first floor hotel. Even famous celebrities have slept here in this 1930s Modernist building. Worth a visit even if you don't stay here. Well located in this lovely holly city. Comfy beds. Very friendly atmosphere at...

At the moment I have been overcharged £150 by the hotel on two rooms I booked and am struggling to get it back!!!! Booking.com processed a "pre payment" although the website clearly stated "no pre payment" the hotel charged the full price and did not understand what I was trying to dispute. On top of this both rooms smelt heavily...

The decor is amazing, around the huge deco staircase at least. Beautiful old items from the top to the bottom. The room I had was both functional and comfortable, with a bonus of a shared balcony. Shower / tv etc. were all fine and the breakfast was adequate. Good location too, and the staff were friendly and helpful. For what...
