Had a business trip to Porto recently which coincided with the European holiday season. Hence most hotels were fully booked and I had to settle for Pao De Acucar.
However the rooms and the bathroom were too small. Buffet breakfast was also very limited and...More
This is a good, reasonably priced, conveniently located hotel with off-premises parking. My wife and I spent 3 nights here and the hotel met our needs.
The room was large, with high ceilings, firm bed, spacious bathroom, and quiet. Although the fixtures are somewhat dated,...More

Depressing atmosphere permeated room and hallways. Narrow, short beds were hard as boards. No safe in room. Tiny tv screen. Front desk hidden down a narrow corridor. Reminded me of hotels we...More
The hotel is extremely quirky with all the bumper car and early 1900 onwards memorabilia. The building itself is Art Deco 1920's with some lovely features.
Our room was spacious and moderately well decorated but both the room and the hotel were spotlessly clean.

My room didn´t have a tub, but it was enormous, very spacious, anc clean. There is no parking in the building, but there is one just by the corner (it is very very near, like 10 steps or less), so no trouble with the luggage. I think we paid 12 euros/day. Hope it helps! by the way, we enjoyed a lot our stay in there. The hotel is fun because of the old stuff around and breakfast is fine.
