My stay at the Wine Hostel was excellent. The hostel has a big (and very clean) kitchen you can use and there's also a very nice bar where you easily meet other guests. The people of the hostel are SO friendly, they even helped me looking for an apartment here in Porto. I would definitely recommend this hostel to everyone.

I rarely write a review since I often forget but the couple running this hostel truly deserve it. They go out of their way to give everyone in the hostel a great experience and help you get around in the city. The place is clean and has everything you need. The breakfast was also amazing with coffee and tea available around the clock. I would surely visit there again. 5/5!

Hostel with a very nice atmosphere in the historic city centre of Porto. From here, every highlight on walking distance. And the main area for going out and drink lots of cocktails is really close as well. The owners are very friendly and do everything to let you enjoy your stay and feel at home. Rooms are very clean and cleaned every day. The hostel has a nice room with a bar to meet people and eat breakfast (you should try their breakfast, its good). Only thing less great sometimes is party noise coming from people outside the hostel, that may be temporarily because of Covid. I very much enjoyed my stay here and can recommend!

I went and stayed here before walking the Camino and I really liked it. Of course there's up and down sides to every place so here goes, I'll start with the positives. Like I said the staff is super friendly, I think it's being run by a family and they make you feel very welcome from the start. I slept in an 8 person dorm and the beds were comfy and stable, that mattered since I slept on the top bunk. Their breakfast is 5 euros and for that you get a massive feed that includes bread, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. I always struggled to finish it. Aside from that they offer various tours such as port tastings and river tours but I didn't make use of it. They have an in-house bar/living room where they sell various drinks for very decent prices. The building is really old school with a lot of ceiling decorations and stuff, which is a detail that I liked. Going to the downsides of this place I had a hard time finding them. The only one that will definitely annoy people is that the hostel is located above a few bars where the locals usually drink until later at night l, while I was here most of the partying happened outside so you'll want to bring some earplugs if your sensitive to noise. The upside is there's always a fun place to go out close by and it takes about 15 minutes walking to get to the riverbank, a walk I can recommend to get a feel for the city.
