We were staying in Gallery Home and it was perfect. Nice garden behind the house, nice bathroom and nice simpel breakfast. Porto city center is in walking distance. Also around the hostel several restaurants and cafes.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Stunning place to stay! Could not recommend it more! Stayed in a deluxe suite at “Gallery Home” in July 2016. This is a hostel, but felt more like a boutique hotel! Huge spacious room with high ceilings, luxurious bed with good quality linens, spa-like bathroom, cute private balcony, gorgeous shared sitting room, kitchen and back patio. The... More

We had a twin room in the Gallery Home which is across the road from the hostel. The staff were friendly and there was much activity there. Each room is beautiful and has art on the walls. The breakfast was a buffet type which was laid out fresh each day in the kitchen downstairs. The rooms were cleaned daily.

A very charming hostel with great staff always there to help! Not a party hostel, but I prefered it that way ;) A bit far from the historic city center (20min walk), but it's really nice to walk through the streets of the city down to the Riverside. Would definitely recommend this cute hostel!

This is a deceivingly large hostel that goes really far back from the street. and the entire ground floor is devoted to common room space which makes it really nice to find a comfortable spot to talk or read or check in on facebook. I was in two different rooms, a 4 and 6 bed dorm and each one was... More

Good location within walking distance to river and main restaurants / bars or a short taxi ride. Great facilities. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Haven't stayed in a hostel for over 10 years so was very surprised by the facilities, cleanliness etc. Highly recommend.

We stayed for three nights in the mixed dormitory, spending the daytime in and around Porto. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was rich and excellent, people and room mates (from Canada, Australia, United States, The Netherlands, and Wales) were open and friendly. The location itself is clean and the common rooms and floors exhibit striking style.

Art gallery + hostel ! They seem to have everything - walking tours, bike rental, dinners on request & others. Staff were ever so friendly & charming. The wood floors in the dorm do make walking around quietly a bit of a challenge though. And the wifi signal could use some extension to the dorms - very erratic at times.... More

Our stay was for 2 nights, and what a pity we had to move on! The location was great, close to everything. The staff were fabulous, eager and willing to provide information and/or assistance, took us on a walking tour, on hand 24 hours, and friendly. We booked the four person dorm room with a private bathroom up on the... More

Gallery Hostel was recommended to me by my son who had stayed there in 2015. My wife and I were a little dubious about staying in a hostel rather than a hotel, but it lived up to and exceeded my sons recommendation. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Although they have some dorm type rooms, they also have very... More
