The concept of our house is based on three main characteristics offered to our guests: Port Wine tasting, permanent exhibitions of Portuguese artists, and a little library with some books related to the Portuguese culture. The house is located in an old part of the town, where the rich bourgeoisie was installed in the beginning of the 20th century. It's 10 minutes away from the City Centre and 5 minutes from the subway station, on foot. It's got a car park nearby.

This was our third stay at Cosme. Everything was fine but not memorable. What we had really enjoyed about Cosme, that was totally lacking this time, was the friendly exuberance of the owner and the buzz in the breakfast room. There was no welcome glass of port, evidently none in

We spent 3 nights from May 3-6 and loved the place. We had the ground floor room which had access to the small back yard, a lovely white room, very quiet, with fridge, hot water kettle and large enough even though the bathroom was a bit small. The receptionist mostly stays at

No, only on street parking. We have been there several times and never had difficulty finding a parking space in front of the guesthouse.

"Huge room, "Miro"."
"We were overlooking the back garden and had a brilliant view of the festivities from a festival on the river."
