I would not stay here again any time soon because, the area all around the hotel is under major construction of a new metro line which is a major inconvenience because you have to walk all the way around to the back and down a long dead end road to reach the hotel. It is incredibly noisy from morning till dark, even on Saturdays, the huge industrial equipment shakes the building. Of course, this is out of their control, but they don't mention this on their website and our booking was non-refundable. Had I known I wouldn't have booked here.
Very nice hotel with great decoration. I stayed in a single room and it was very comfortable room. Good location for visiting Porto, good value, friendly welcome at check-in, they even gave me free breakfast. Would return next time in Porto.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.the location was great! It is near some fab restaurants and bars as well as being easy walking distance from all other attractions. The rooms are stylish and equipped with everything you need including rain showers, comfortable beds, fridge and safe. The breakfast is varied and to suit most tastes! The staff were really friendly and help. Definitely would return!
We stayed at the One Shot, Porto for three nights in mid October and found the hotel (apart from the ongoing metro works nearby) charm personified. All the members of staff we found friendly, polite, and warm, with a an excellent knowledge of the local places of interest. Quite obviously this is to be expected of most hotels, however on our last nights stay I had the misfortune to have left my travel documents in a taxi. It was close to nine o'clock. The duty manager, we felt, went above and beyond his role by providing all the help we needed to obtain copy documents. To which we cannot thank him enough. When booking the One shot do not be put off by its price and opt for cheaper alternatives, and the end of the day its all about the service one receives, and as we all know the cheaper alternative can often prove the more expensive in the long run. If the owners are reading this review give the members of staff a huge pat on the back for services above and beyond a call of duty. Richard and Ann Sinclair.…
We stayed here for 2 nights and had great service. The staff on reception are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble at all. Special mention to Will who is excellent. The room was clean, spacious and modern with a small balcony that’s traditional Portuguese. The location is in the middle of the city and not far from any tourist sites. Sadly there is construction work going on so the road is closed but I can’t hold that against them. The breakfast is fresh and continental with eggs/sausage if you wish. You can also sit outside giving a great view over the city. We were allowed to store out bags after checkout as we weren’t picking our hire car up until 4pm. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody wishing to visit Porto!
Lovely spot, very central. There is currently work going on whilst the metro is being improved but once you're in the room you don't really hear it. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The breakfast has a lot of options however we are vegan, and I realised I should have informed the hotel so we had limited options but entirely our fault. Overall an incredible location, great views and clean rooms.
In spite of the fact that there's a huge construction project going on directly in front of the hotel, I was surprised by how quiet the rooms were. The beds were wonderful, as were the linens. I liked having an electric tea pot in the room. Great bedside lighting for both sides of the bed, but in general, the room was not bright. It would have been nice to have had an overhead light to light the entire room better. The breakfast was beautiful. Pablo took such care to ensure that the presentation was "perfect," and it was. I loved having my ow spoon and toaster thongs. Little touches like this make a huge difference. Francisco at the front desk was especially friendly and professional.
Great location but also quiet. Rooms are beautifully appointed. Charming but modern and comfortable. Staff were excellent and super helpful. Highly recommend taking a room with a terrace. It’s worth the extra. Looking forward to our next visit and keen to try other hotels in this chain.
Really lovely peaceful hotel in a great location. Staff were extremely helpful and the room was beautiful and very clean. There is unfortunately a lot of works going on around the hotel which does take a little away from the prime location. We will be back!
Perfect location. Wonderful staff. Great breakfast with a view. In spite of construction detours all over, it was perfect place to stay. Added benefit - while building the metro an ancient city was discovered… so noise stopped and what a view of buried village. If you can, spring for a terrace room. So worth it. I am so very happy I did.
