This was a sad place to me. There was no atmosphere or ambiance at all. The bed was comfortable, but, the hotel itself was run down. There were stains all over the carpets in the common areas as well as the rooms. The furniture was stained in spots, and it just looked like it needs some updating. The breakfast/dining area... Not a bad place to stay, it could do with a bit of a refurbishment. The rooms are a little old fashioned. Heavy carpet and blankets on the beds. The breakfast could also do with a bit more choice. A four star hotel? certainly a mistake! Though just 5 minutes from the Villa, you have to walk along a lonely lane til you arrive the centre which is the Deu la Deu square. You must beware of the cars that pass and at night its too dark. There are no entertainment in the hotel, no brochures of the region,which... More

Briefly: This hotel does not deserve 4 starts (at most 3). -> The best: * The service was good and the rooms were clean. * The best thing about it is that is just in front of the Monçao's Spa. * Food and desserts in the restaurant are awesome (but not for breakfast). Please be careful with what they call... More

I stayed in this hotel one night (May of 2008). It is cheap but I do not recommend this hotel. The bed was not comfortable, the rooms with ancient decoration (old carpet) and during the whole night there were many noises. To the side are the municipal swimming pool and the bathhouses that were going to open in the summer.... More
