I was part of a group of 12 visiting Portugal over a 3-week period. We stayed 2 nights here in the Duoro Valley at this lovely vineyard hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, with all amenities needed. WiFi was reliable. Breakfast was outstanding, with a nice variety of fresh breads, sweets, meats/cheese, jams, yogurt, fresh-squeezed juice, as well as...

Many hotels offer renovated luxury accommodations in a historic property .Quinta da Pacheca (the Portuguese name) does this and goes further. Guests can participate in the wine making process by arrangement. Perhaps the most distinctive activity is stomping the grapes. This is not a tourist gimmick for show. All the wine at this winery -- red and white table wine...

Hotel that's part of a winery. Rooms are impressively old/fancy looking, and come with complimentary port. As part of the larger operation the hotel feels larger than it is. There are nice grounds to walk around in. Breakfast is pretty good.

This hotel only has 15 rooms so nice and intimate. It is boutique modern luxury in a historic building. Staff very friendly and informal with good english. Allow time for your tour of the estate. The tour was very informative and the cellars here are wonderfully lit. The short tasting was good and I learnt more about the Douro wines....

We did have trouble finding this hotel but after that we really enjoyed this rural hotel. We had a wine tasting on site and really enjoying it as well as our superior room with a view or the Douro River. The room was very well decorated and was one of the nicest on our 12 day trip of northern Portugal....

The Wine House is a beautiful place to relax. The rooms are huge and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and the private tour and wine tasting you get when you stay is a really nice touch. The restaurant on site is a little overpriced, but the food and service were very good. Breakfasts were probably the highlight; the table...

I stayed there with my wife for 2 nights a few days ago and couldn't have had a better experience. The hotel is extremely well decorated, the landscape is beautiful, staff is great and the hotel is in perfect conditions. We had the half pension rate and it worth the extra investment once the food at the hotel is delicious...

We spent two nights at this hotel during our annual trip to the Douro valley. The hotel is very nice with very comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Small and tastefully decorated with a very good restaurant. The tour of the winery was interesting and the little bar where the wine can be tasted is very pleasant on a warm summer...
