Wow! This place is a doozy. The pictures look incredible, but the place is really the absolute worst. We booked two nights but had to leave after one night because we felt so uncomfortable/unsafe. (1) There are 3 german shepherds roaming the property that were barking at us and made us feel extremely unsafe - they were literally in front... More

We stopped in here for a wine tasting in mid May. A tour was not available but wine tastings were. Wine was very good especially the Sequeirinha Douro White (Rita Sequeirinha) and very affordable. Because the B&B was quiet we were allowed to enjoy our picnic lunch up on their patio area with fabulous views of the Douro River, and... More

We stayed at this family owned small vineyard (total 5 rooms) near Peso da Régua. It's by no means 5 star, but place is clean and comfortable and the host very friendly. The offered dinner and vineyard tour is a must join item at 35 Euros each. Both food and wine were more than enough for us- each of us... More

The place is looked very beautiful at the pictures, however in reality the room is in bad condition - very uncomfortable to sleep, poor bed, peeling ceiling, tiny and moldy bathroom. Therefore, we felt that the Quinta is overpriced, which is also reflected by high prices for food and drinks. We do not recommend ordering dinner at the facility because of... More

Found out about this place through Rick Steve's book. It's owned and run by the 4th generation owner of the vineyard. All wine/olive oil/jams are made on-site. We were in room #1. Great wooden shutters to darken the room, individual air conditioning control, and very quiet. Bed was comfortable and shower was hot with good water pressure. Very nice shared... More

My husband was working in Porto for the month of May and we wanted a place to spend a relaxing weekend. This was the perfect spot. Most of the accommodations were single rooms but we were lucky to be placed in a small apartment. It was wonderfully decorated and made us feel like we were living in someone's home. Breakfast... We stayed one night. The quinta is very comfy and in a picturesque setting. We also had the wine tasting and dinner there. The food was fantastic; the wine tour and tasting were educational and interesting. Cesar, the owner, his staff and pets are all a delight. Make sure to leave room in your luggage for Ceasar's port!

OK, the title of this review is because we had no car. We only stayed one night and that is enough anyway. It is a classic type of house. Rooms were comfortable. There was a nice patio with a view and living room with a fire place. Very homey. In the early morning there was a beautiful chorus of birdsong.... More

The Quinta has only 4 rooms available but they are comfortable and cute! The staff are friendly and helpful. We took their tour of the grounds and they explained the stomping of the grapes by people and not machines! The food was fabulous at both breakfast and dinner. Can't wait to go back and enjoy more of their hospitality! we... More

Beautiful valley location with the property perched on the river. A small, productive Porto winery that was once a convent in the 1700's. Several forms of accommodation but we stayed in a guest room which was furnished from circa early 1900's complete with historical family photos. Room was sufficient size with heating, aircon, double bed and views to the river... More
