Small quinta with only few rooms, this place has wonderful service and excellent food and wine. It is small but comfortable and guests can walk around and enjoy the grapes, various fruit trees, olive trees. Just pick the fruit from the tree and eat it. The virw is outstanding, as it is right at the Douro.

My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at Quinta de Marrocos. We are so glad that we chose Quinta de Marrocos. We had an unforgettable time. The management and staff exceeded our expectations. They were hospitable, accommodating, friendly and provided over-the-top service. We brought our cat with us. They had a water and food bowl and a mat in the room for our cat. We have food restrictions. They prepared our breakfasts and suppers according to our dietary needs including baking, from scratch, fresh breads and cakes. For our 20th anniversary, we were treated to 20 year old tawny port. They presented us with an anniversary gift and cake. They specially decorated our breakfast and dinner table. Aside from the spectacular service, the view is stunning and the traditional feel of the property was a delight. The ports, wines, preserves and olive oil produced on the property was wonderful. We plan to return, since we live in Portugal, and highly recommended it to our family, friends and others.

Our tour package ( Great Value Vacations ) booked this tour. So glad they did. What a great experience to just be in this region and see first hand the traditional way to make port. Greeted by Luis and Susanna ( oh and the puppies ). They gave us a tour. They also have rooms to stay in ( with a cozy great room ). They offer dinners but we were here for the quinta tour. Learned so much and enjoyed the history and tradition of port wine making. Sad to think that the old ways are passing but still great to see that some still try. Left having learned much more than we had. We have come away for a deeper appreciation for the port wine industry and can see why they take so much pride in their port wine. Shout out to Luis and Susanna for being so personable and informative. We would have loved to stay and stomp grapes
