We went to the area because we were interested in the walks and the house was recommended as a launching spot for a variety of nearby walks. Our room was spacious clean and well equipped with all things needed. The use of the stone walls as decorative as well as functional was aesthetically a highlight. The bathroom with its stunning...

A wonderful place in the village Monthesino. A well built and lovely decorated house with a friendly host. Excellent food and very relaxing atmosphere. We went here to hike and it was a couple of amazing days. Recommended.

We only went for dinner here but loved it. The old village house has been beautifully restored and the local food was both delicious and extremely generous! The host is very friendly and welcoming with some great stories. An absolute must if you are in that corner of Portugal.

This was our second time in this amazing place. Cosy, comfortable and Roberts sympathy are more done enough reasons to return. The dinner was amazing and it is included in the room price. Some times you chose the place to stay, and others the place just chose you, that's why we will come back again.

Montesinho is a wonderful little village in the Natural Park, and this guesthouse was a real gem. It was a renovated old building, with generous sized rooms, comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The accommodation included breakfast (OK) and evening meal (excellent). Our host, Robert, was friendly, helpful and proud of his establishment. We went on 2 daywalks through beautiful hills...

A bit out of the way but that should be the goal for anyone coming here. A beautiful place in a very cute little village. The rooms are spacious and the shared areas are roomy and comfortable. While they do offer wifi, it is only in a small common area. Breakfast is a little sparse with some cereal and bread,...

A Lagosta Perdida (the lost lobster) is one of those rare places that you come across that ticks every box. After a wonderful drive over the hills you find yourself in a picture postcard village, where time looks as if it has stood still. After a warm welcome by Robert my wife and I were shown to our bedroom, which...

The entire village is cobbled with no asphalt in sight, a timeless atmosphere hangs among the kind and welcoming locals and the views of the natural park are spectacular. Robert is kind and welcoming, if you are interested he can easily impart his great knowledge of the surrounding area, you are then calmly shown your room and given a brief...

Following a recce in 2014 we booked a party of eight in for four nights. We walked three days, for 5 hours, from the hotel and received excellent advice as to the detail of the routes we chose. It is a huge advantage to be able to walk directly from the hotel itself. The rooms have all the modern conveniences...

In a lovely little stone built village, what a surprise as you enter A Lagosta Perdida. Built around a central well lit well the three storey renovation is beautiful. Our room on the first floor looked into the village and even had its own entrance via a staircase from street level. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom well...
