The vila is uphill ,for walking but has a ca rpark across the road if you have a car. The room had great view of harbour, clean and breakfast was choice of fried, scrambled or boiled eggs, local breads and jams, piece of fruit ,fruit juice and choice of usual hot drinks. The beds were very hard, I don't mind...

This is a lovely guesthouse with everything you could want e.g. plenty of storage, cutlery, plates and glasses near the fridge. There is a large terrace with views of the ocean. The rooms are a reasonable size though the beds were very hard. The owners are very helpful and provide a substantial breakfast in excess of what we have had...

We enjoyed very much our stay at Vila Teresinha. The family atmosphere and our reception was excellent from the very moment that we arrived. Vila Teresinha has an excellent view over the sea and the city. We would like to thank the kindness and the special attention that we received both from Agostinho and his wife Catarina who where always...

We stayed here for one night on route to our holiday villa and the attitude from the owners was unfriendly and rude. The accomodation and breakfast was as previously described by other reviews, basic but clean and perfectly adequate representing good value for money. The lady of the house was surly and unfriendly the gentleman sarcastic. We asked why on...

Advantages. The managers of the bed and breakfast are middle-aged husband and wife. They do everything and do it very well. You can always ask for an advice or to do a small favour (call a taxi, print or copy something, ask for an advice how to go somewhere, book a tour). The breakfast is very nice, continental one. You...

Stayed for 6 days in April for romantic break. Had a lovely time. The hosts are very friendly, and were very helpful with our late arrival due to flight delay, staying up late to let us in. It wasn't till the morning that we opened door to balcony and realised what a fabulous view we had - looking down over...

Vila Teresinha is perfect for anyone travelling on a budget. Clean, warm, and comfortable, the rooms provide a more than adequate resting place. If, however, you are looking for a room in which to spend long hours during the day entertaining , this is not for you. The point of Madeira is, however, to get out and about, and the...

Vila Teresinha offers comfortable rooms, a very friendly ambience, a location in 'real' Funchal, easy access to the town centre and bus termini (15 minute walk), generous breakfasts with some home made items (but not a great big buffet approach), all for a value for money price. The restaurant and bar were not available when we were there but that...

The downside: uncomfortable beds; bathroom badly needed refurbishment; bedroom old-fashioned. The upside: everything was clean; excellent, friendly service; a substantial breakfast; a short, pleasant walk to the town centre. Overall, it has to be excellent value. Don't get me wrong - everything in the rooms works - shower, electrical points, TV and so on. The worst negative for me was...

We found Vila Teresinha on Tripadvisor and our experience after one week in Funchal met very well our expectations, formed by reading others experiences at VT. The rooms may not be of latest standard and we had a room along the street (with some traffic), but they are clean and if you're sensible to road noise it's killed with some...
