My room was at the back and was pretty big. I stayed for five days, and the room was always spotlessly clean. The owner (Alberto?) was always very friendly and helpful. The one thing that put me off was when I first walked in, there was a lady sat in the chair by reception who obviously worked there and responded...

I was in a triple room with friends, with no space at all. We can't stay in the room together, one must stay on the bed because of no space. And the sheets o one bed were not clean. Good position in the centre of Funchal and cheap, but in Funchal you can find better accommodations at the same price.

We have booked a room in this reasonably priced hotel as we traveled to Funchal because of conference at local university. The room was VERY small, but clean. The same applied to bathroom. The main problem was common kitchen for the whole floor that was promised but missing. Also, it took us three days to figure out how to lock...

Our room was next to the lift motor which was grinding away until after 2.00 am. The noise plus the very hard beds meant that week did not get a single nights decent sleep. The hotel has WIFI but someone made repeated attempts to hack into our laptop. The lift is from a horror from movie.

The location is good. the WI-FI is good. The street noise is unbearable. The breakfast consists of cornflakes, white bread rolls, butter, little potions of jam, cheese triangles , coloured water posing as fruit juice, tea and coffee. The bedroom is so small that you have to walk sideways to pass the beds. There is only one electrical socket in...

Great service and location in the middle of Funchal with everything you need close by: supermarket, restaurants (the one across the street for instance, with their "home made" bottle to finish the meals), car parking (only 5 minutes walk away for 3euros/day).. The staff (most of them English speaking) was super friendly and really helpful (postcard service, earlier breakfast the...

We stayed here as we decided to save our money for eating and trips out, as we were only going to be sleeping here. We were not expecting anything fancy - and good thing, too! The man on reception spoke very little English, and showed us to the lift. The lift to the first floor was the most rickety I...

Cheap hotel in the centre of Funchal, small but cozy and clean rooms. The owner was very friendly guiding me with information's and touristic places to see. No car parking near by, that's the only issue I had.

A simple and unpretentious budget lodgings , good value for money , it was in a great position with not to far to walk to the buses , no frills , but really amazing friendly staff , and the lift is something else .
