Have used this hotel back in 2009, it was great then & it's fantastic now. Good location, staff amazing, rooms are cleaned, had a balcony with sea view, roof top swimming pool with a bar. Parking available at 6euros per day & you can go in & out as many times you like in a day, good value for money...

Nicely located in the Lido area, convenient for transport, restaurants and the sea front. Pleasantly surprised at the accommodation. Reception very welcoming, clean and modern. Rooms spacious and clean. Large bed which was actually two put together but very comfortable, although I second what everyone says about the pillows. These definitely need replaced, very uncomfortable. Nice big bathroom with shower...

Great experience, maybe could improve the breakfast and carpets. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Close to the sea and lots of nice restaurants around. Rooms very clean but the carpets on the corridors needs attention. Off season very nice quiet you can have swimming pool for yourself. The gym is not really a gym There's only 3 equipment but it...

We stayed at The Lince for 1 week at the start of March. We had a lovely time in Madeira. The hotel is in a great location. Yellow and Red bus stop is straight opposite. It is central to lots if restaurants and a bar across the road. Our room was nice. Clean and housekeeping came every day. Yes it...

Just back after 2 weeks at the Lince. We had a nice room on the 6th floor. Everything kept very clean. Marks on carpet not too noticeable. Otherwise carpet is good quality. Breakfast more than adequate with good choices. Didn't take other meals there, so can't comment. Free wifi, safe, fridge and A/C. Only maked it down from 5 as...

Little gem of a place. Managed to get a room here after we were unable to leave Funchal due to heavy winds. Very nice hotel, very comfortable rooms. Reception staff were very helpful and customer service skills were excellent. The location was spot on. Restaurants and supermarkets on your doorstep. Would recommend.

The Lince Hotel, situated in the Lido area, perfect for good restaurants, there's a 2 star michelin restaurant at The Cliff Bay Hotel. A 30 minute walk into the centre of town. Walk back is a little strenuous up the hill, but plenty of buses, taxis aren't expensive. Plenty of tours for the island start in this location as well.

After all the comments about the state of the carpets, which actually aren't that bad &, we suspect, are awaiting closure on who pays for the damage, we found the Lince to be a good hotel with polite & helpful staff, clean & tidy rooms, & an ideal location from which to explore both Funchal & the island generally.
