Really strategic placement in the center of the city. You can reach everything with a short walk. Nice people at the reception and a clean and welcoming place to stay. The only regret is for the breakfast. Good but not wonderful as the rest. We'll be surely back in this hotel. Most of the rooms have a nice terrace, available...

This year saw our 3rd stay at the Carmo, and I'm pleased to say that the standard of the accomodation at the price we paid continues to suit us very well. Good location, a clean & comfortable room with an excellent view over the hills, friendly & helpful staff, and a very good buffet breakfast all make it a great...

The staff at this hotel are so very helpful and friendly. I cannot fault them. Breakfast is good. Plenty of fruit, breads cheeses and hams. Really well situated for the town centre and Old Town. The room was adequate but small, tea and coffee making facilities would have been welcome in the room. It was kept very clean by the...

We spent 7 nights at hotel do carmo, the location was good, near the old town, restaurants and shopping, yet on a quieter street. The included breakfast was nice with quite a few options. Rooms are a decent size, we got a balcony which was nice. The only thing that wasn't great was that edges (moldings & floor corners) were...

This is a nice hotel in a great location. The best bits are the roof top pool area which is very peaceful, with spectacular views, and the charming, helpful staff. When i got home I realised I had left a make-up bag in my room. I contacted the hotel and they were great. They packaged it up really well and...

A good location just on the edge of Fuchal (less than 5 mins walking to the main attractions) with themed rooms, friendly staff and all good except the notice at the breakfast buffet "all food here must be consumed here" (i.e. no making packed lunches and sneaking them out..!-)

We stayed in a room with a balcony at the topfloor. The room was comfortable, but a bit small. However, having the balcony helped a lot. The breakfast which was included in the price was ok, but nothing special, and the wireless connection appeared fast and stabile. The staff was very friendly, and both the hotel and room was clean....
