The Açucena house was built during the roaring 20's and it has been in the same family since the mid 70's. Extensive restoration works took place recently to refurbish and update this beautiful house to modern day standards keeping all the stucco and wood works for your delight. This property features stunning views of Sintra's mountain range, a world heritage site, and the countryside down to the atlantic coast, just 11 km/7 miles away. The location of Casa Açucena, in a quiet street with parking, at a mere 10 min walk from the train station and 20 min away from the old city centre makes this B&B an ideal base to discover the charming Lisbon and all the palaces, castles and nature Sintra is renowned for. The vintage furniture was carefully restored, new hotel standard beds and linens were added for improved comfort and all the bathroom facilities were updated.
