Stayed in the mill "Penico" for the second time. The mill is spacious, clean and warmly decorated in a maritime style. It can become a bit cold at night this time of the year (November), However, the mill has a fireplace and wood is supplied daily, and several heating panels, so it gets cosy anyway. Newly baked bread is hung...

We stayed two nights here. Reserve a villa-windmill, it is certainly worth the extra price. Beautiful location (approx 3 km from Setubal center with the very best fish restaurants). Very helpfull lady-owner! Spotless clean windmill-"room" with all facilities and comfort present in beautifully maintained surroundings/garden. Highly recommended!

I wish I knew before I booked how beautiful this place is. I only booked for one night and had further bookings ahead so we had to move on. The host Teresa is delightful and gave us lots of helpful information. The accommodation in the windmill is wonderful and very private with a a terrace all around to relax on...

The hotel is the best kept secret in Setubal area. They restored 2 windmills near the city S. Filipe Castle. Inside the property you can park your car next to your windmill with a sea view to die for. The sunsets are just amazing. The tranquility of the area is overwhelming. The breakfast is continental but I'm sure any request is...

The location is spectacular, the windmill is well renovated and having most of the breakfast delivered the night before was a nice touch - with warm breads arriving first thing in the morning. The bed was extremely firm and just a double (which is quite small for two large people!). Once the window shutters were closed and lights off, the...

Perched atop a high hill overlooking both Setubal and the sea is this beautifully built 'home'. This place has everthing for the discerning traveller/ family. The English speaking owner, who is always in attendance,is delightful. If you want the best, stay here.

is a nice place, however, they dont offer you a room service or even a hotel service as bar or restaurant,,,, they only invoice for a room and the price for only one room is too high... they are a family that are trying to play with a tourism place.. but they arent living (earn the life) with the business...

We fell in love with this place! We stayed one night before we journeyed further south to the Algarve. We decided that this place is great for kids are are going back this weekend with our son and his friends! The playground is out of this world for older kids even! It's like a camp with a pool, basketball goal...

We had booked 2 rooms for our family but the hotel proposed to us one of the old mills figured on the picture. These round houses have two floors. The first floor is a big living room with a kitchen side. There is a sleeping couch, but it is not very comfortable. At the second floor, the is a bed...

Worth it for the experience alone. Where else can you stay in a converted windmill, enjoying sweeping ocean and estuary views and the proximity of Arrabida National Park? We were a couple travelling with a friend and stayed one night in one of the mills, which was set up as independent from the main building so that you may self-cater...
