Room very basic...no tea or coffee making facilities or water in the room. Tatty. Hard uncomfortable mattress. Area not good. We were in an annex at the back of the house...across an open courtyard which was scruffy and steps were slippery. Would not return

We were very lucky to get a room in this beautiful small guest house. The beds are very soft and comfortable, even though there is a street in front of the guest house you hear nothing through the windows. The men at the reception were both very kind and friendly. We had to stay a long time in the hospital... More

Stayed here for one night which was enough. The paper was peeling off the walls in one room. The bed bases were stained and dirty in our room. The bathrooms are tiny and not great. The bed linen and towels were very clean though. Nice little roof terrace and open areas and staircase are pretty. The staff was friendly, the... More

Very nice hotel, if you can overcome the fact that it's old !! We took the penthouse, very large appartment with an extremely nice terasse. Good service the attendants at the desk are really kind. Only one detail to be aware, many many stairs in the hotel which is located at the top of the hill in lisbonne, be ready... More

If you want a quiet nights sleep and someplace with easy street access and parking, then look farther out. The clubs stay going until dawn and getting to this guesthouse, well it's not there fault, but it's location doesn't make things easy. Now breakfast, that was very nice. In fact, the room was no less than I expected also, but... More

This was by far one of the nicest places I stayed on my trip. It's not an amenities thing, just an atmosphere and friendliness thing. It was an old Monastery. It has an amazing view. They sell water and store baggage. It's in a quiet area. The staff are super helpful. The accommodations are very clean, bright and pretty. The... More

It is true that it is not the best place if you have mobility issues. However if you have legs and are willing to use them I highly recommend lavra. Great views from terrace, querky and interesting building. Wonderful staff and central to almost everything. Great local restaurants, full of locals. So cheap too. Lisbon is captivating and you will... More

This Guest house is built in the former residence for nuns and is right across the Street from an old church. It is not easy to get to. There is an underground parking about 300 metres away, but once you are at the hotel, it is not easy to get back to. If you don't plan to get the car... More

We found this hotel clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. Only con is it is up an extremely steep hill. If you have your metro day pass there is an elevator tram which can take you up the hill for free, if not it is €3.60. If you have young children or are elderly or have any issues with walking,... I thought I had booked Lavra GuestHouse for my first night in Lisbon, but I had made a mistake in my booking, and had mistakenly booked us there for a different night. My mistake, and an utter surprise to me when they didn't have us listed for that night, a Saturday. We had been up for more than 24 hours... More
