My partner and I had the most lovely 2-night stay at Vincci Liberdade for our anniversary. On arrival, the hotel was very clean and modern, and the staff were friendly and attentive straight away, and all throughout our stay too. We were very gratefully provided with a room upgrade to celebrate our anniversary, and when we returned to the room later in the day after spending the morning exploring the city, we were delighted to find a bottle of champagne and some chocolates from the Hotel as a congratulations, which we thought was really lovely of them. The room itself was amazingly clean, with really modern features and the bed was so dreamy! Really lovely size and so comfortable. The location was also great - there are many cafes/bars/restaurants on the doorstep, but it is just tucked enough away out of the main city centre to have a bit of calming respite after a long day of exploring! The hotel is around a 10 min walk from a metro station, so getting to and from the airport via metro was really easy (and affordable!) We would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Lisbon, thanks so much for having us Hotel Vincci Liberdade!

I stayed 4 nights and on arrival I was pleasantly surprised with an early checkin at 11.30. The very helpful staff on reception answered any questions I had and gave me some good tips for local attractions. I booked a standard double room which although small, was comfortable. The bathroom had a nice shower and double sink although it was quite small. I got a good sleep as the room was quiet with good aircon and blackout blinds. The TV had loads of channels but most in Portuguese but you just need to scroll to find English channels. Breakfast wasn’t included in my room rate but at €12 it was excellent value. Due to the COVID restrictions it was table service, but a lot of credit should go to the staff serving as they were incredibly friendly and efficient despite it being busy. On offer were pastries, sliced meats, assorted cheeses, cooked eggs and fruits. Location is just off Avenida da Liberdade and a 20 minute walk down hill to reach Praca do Commercio. Two metro stations are close - Avenida and Marques de Pombal so you can access all sites very easily. In summary I was very happy with my stay and the staff are great.

Our first time to Lisbon and we were overwhelmed with the options. it seemed every hotel claimed “good location” we took a swing on this one. Room: great rooms, spacious for euro standards, Shower worked well, bathroom has two sinks. there’s minimal storage space in the room, one small closet- no desk/chair/dresser or luggage stand. Very quiet days and nights. Comfy beds. ** Big con with room is our AC did not function. To be fair we didn’t end up bothering asking the front desk but it was clearly non functioning Food: breakfast is quaint and has some options: fruit, lots of meat and cheese, eggs prepared to request (order through waiter) not anything crazy, but okay. we were excited for the outdoor bar but was told it was closed. Service: good service, we asked for early check in pre booking and were told it’s not guaranteed and is at a cost. Luckily, they just ended up letting us and not charging. We also got a wine opener brought to our room since we bought our own wine one night. They also gave us a cake and champagne for our anniversary. They only give one free water for the whole stay which felt stingy. *** Big con is we had asked a man at the front desk a desk nights to make reservations for us at places we selected. One night the places we wanted were all booked, so we asked if he had recommendations. He advised us to go to a restaurant that ended up being the biggest tourist trap and scam place of all time. It was hard on the wallet and ruined our night. Wouldn’t take any front desk recs or if so do with a grain of salt. Location: close to airport, it is centrally located but north of everything. at the end of it, we felt happy with the location. closest to baixa (15 min walk) and barrio alto. we usually walked to our first destination then at the end of the day would uber or tuk tuk back.
