Alecrim ao Chiado is a charming small hotel with 10 large rooms and suites. The renovation was made during 2015 and it has kept the original architecture of the 18th century. The walls are covered with beautiful tiles and the stairs are large, very noble and all in stone. The rooms are all very big, very light and with large windows. The rooms from the first floor are all with balcony.

Alecrim ao Chiado is a charming boutique hotel in the heart of Lisbon. Tastefully done, it is the perfect spot to stay while in Lisbon. It's as central as you can get and everything is walkable. And of course, it has a very courteous staff.

This was a great choice for Lisbon. It is a small boutique hotel in the heart of the old part of town. Staff were so helpful and welcoming. Rooms were delightful while wifi and breakfast were spot on. It’s also close to the Metro and a few minutes walk downhill to the beach and markets.

We stayed 6 nights at the hotel which is located a short walk to the waterfront on one side and uphill to the vibrant Chiado. The staff were very friendly and welcoming ensuring our stay was hassle free. The daily breakfast was filling and all fresh produce. I would highly recommend this hotel for its location and comfort.

I liked the hotel at first. The room is clean, and has good space asbwell as aroma. Breakfast is mostly made there. It’s fresh and tasty. Andre at the front desk is helpful and patient. His woman colleague is nevertheless another story. She agreed to extend our checkout time to 12 noon. We agreed if we were not back by then, they could take out the luggage. Well, we got lost on the winding paths but managed to run back before noon. The news was the room had been checked out and cleaned. The code was changed. The luggage was out. She shouted we were not allowed to even go upstairs where the room was. Then they claimed it’s the system. I think she’s really the cold robot that’s badly programmed. We would have gone back to the lovely room, but not with the rude manner of the woman manager.
