We booked and arrived for our 2 nights in Lisbon. Decent service at the reception but had to wait because nobody was there…Got assigned room 313(?) or 310(?). It is a corner room to the right end corridor of the elevator when you come out. This was the worst room I have ever encountered on any travel in my life. For a 4-star hotel to provide such a tiny room, stained carpets, stained ceilings, clogging sink, 2’x’2 window is absolutely embarrassing. The room was tiny. Carpets were stained. No lights in the closet. Bathroom sink was clogged. The view outside the window was obstructed 70% by a wall. The TV is about 24inches. Disappointing and utterly embarrassing. BUT!! There was a saving grace because the hotel managed to accommodate us to another room on the 7th floor with a balcony. We spoke with the reception and voiced our concerns. I’m glad they were able to accommodate. This room was way WAY WAY bigger with a larger bathroom. It was definitely more comfortable and spacious.…
We spent our last night in Lisbon at the Turim Saldanha Hotel. We had returned to Lisbon from other travels and took the metro to the Sao Sebastiano station, from which the hotel was a 10-15 min walk (some uphill). The hotel is located in a lovely neighborhood that includes a number of restaurants nearby. Side note - we highly recommend Lidia Restaurant if you're staying at Turim Saldanha. It's a 5 min walk and the best meal we had in Portugal (which is saying a lot!). The front desk personnel were extremely helpful and friendly, and the room, while not excessively large, was very modern and clean, with a large bathroom. The one slightly odd item was that we could only get about 2 tv channels (both Portuguese of course). There were many other channels on the menu but none would produce anything. Since we were only there one night we didn't bother inquiring about this but it may be worth asking about. There's a nice bar in the lobby and the bartender was also very welcoming. There is also a Japanese restaurant in the hotel but we did not have an opportunity to try it. The breakfast buffet was not as large as depicted on the website, but suited our needs with hot and cold choices, pastries, fruit, tea and coffee. The breakfast was included with our room but would otherwise be a bit pricey for the offerings, from what I could see. Everything was very fresh and tasty, however, and again the personnel working breakfast service were wonderful. I would stay at the hotel again.…
Quick visit to Lisbon with Air Canada vacations. Nice little hotel smallish room limited amenities but friendly staff, great location and good morning breakfast. Close to Parque metro stop east access to waterfront and old Lisbon. All in all would stay again
Hotel is well kept and the location is convenient to public transportation. Staff was friendly and efficient. Restaurants and markets are also available nearby. Recommended if you want to be outside of the touristy old town but want to be able to reach it quickly and effortlessly.
We booked this hotel for our trip to Portugal to meet our family and this couldn’t have been worse. After check-in I was ready to take a shower and we noticed that there was no water in the room. We called reception and we were told that there was a problem with the water in the hotel and all guests were advised to stay in the room and only leave the hotel if really needed. I asked the receptionist called Daniel if I could move to a different property cause I really needed to take a shower to go to dinner later on and the only answer I got from him was that at that point he couldn’t do anything and the issue should be fixed soon. Well… we came from our lovely dinner and the issue wasn’t fixed, so we called again to see when this would be sorted, cause the problem was lasting already 8 hours and we talked with the Reception Manager named Tomas, who said that he got a confirmation from “Câmara de Lisboa” that the issue would be fixed by 3AM which was obvious that wouldn’t happen so we asked to be moved one more time. We were told to wait to see what he could do and left us without an answer for 45minutes so I had to call again to be told that we could try to move us at 3AM in case the issue wasn’t fixed already which is ridiculous. I had to call 3 times and explain my situation to be able to get moved to a different property (Turim Avenida da Liberdade) and I was not offered any compensation for this! I also work in hospitality and I felt sorry for the hotel staff but the least they could do was to move us straight away and get a discount on my rate since I never got the service we paid for. Never staying again at any Turim hotel…
TURIM Saldanha Hotel Lisbon: Wed 27 Nov – Fri 29 Nov We had a pleasant stay and the staff was very helpful. We will visit again. The location was suited to our needs as we wanted to do some business and shopping
Had a lovely 2 nights here and loved it about a 30 min walk to the seafront and main Rossio square but lovely and a Uber was 3-4 euros and a lovely cafe on the right walking down , we didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel but only as we wanted to sit outside in the sun we surely needed longer here as it’s a lovely city, take the airport bus to the hotel and get off at stop 5 and the hotel is just behind the Sheriton hotel
I stayed here for a few days on a work trip and it was a pleasant stay. It is a cute and cosy hotel. The breakfast selection was quite adequate. Staff were friendly and courteous. Location was perfect for me. Overall, a good stay. I recommend.
Good value hotel with decent size and very clean rooms. We had a deal with breakfast included. Breakfast was buffet style, had large choice and items always topped up by breakfast staff constantly present and ready to help. Reception staff were great and made us feel very welcome. When asked, they recommended good places to eat and we were allowed to leave our luggage after we checked out due to our flight in the evening. Hotel restaurant was good, if you like Sushi. Thank you to the star at the bar: Pedro! Thank you for all the cocktails you made and chats in the evening. We are planning to go back at some point and this hotel will be at the top of our list!
Very bad smell in every floor at the corridor then in the room once door open. Impossible to stay the night. Hotel workers pretend not smelling it but a lot of comments are posted about same fact on multiple booking websites.
