Rooms had a great view of the square and castle. Rooms where unique. Hotel is in a good location. Good home base for exploring Lisbon. Excellent breakfast, though space was tight. Basic services, but good spot for the price
Wonderful location In Rossia with a view to the Castle. We arrived late and received a great welcome from the reception. The metro is close by at Restaurandores. The room was small be perfectly laid out with lovely touches ie rituals products, sun tan lotion and the fabulous pastel del Natas. Highly recommended.
I liked this hotel although it is 3 stars hotel. I stayed in room No. 316. Pros: This hotel has the best location, tasty breakfast and food, friendly helpful staff, clean, good air-conditioning. Cons: Rooms are very narrow, I spent one day looking for wine bottle opener, and the bath water pipe was damaged and cannot be used, should be repaired or replacsed. But all in all I recommend this hotel.
It was our first time visiting Lisbon and we wanted a good point of departure to explore the city on foot. We couldn't have found a better place!!! It was very easy to get to the hotel by underground as the hotel is located next to Rossio metro station. The hotel is lovely, rooms are clean and comfortable. From the hotel we could visit the castle (within walking distance), the Carmo, Praça do Comercio and also Belem and Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, since there is a bus departing not far from the hotel that drops you off in front of the Mosteiro. We had an amazing trip in beautiful Lisbon, enjoyed the sights, the fado and also pasteis de nata. On our second day at the hotel we came back to our room to find two plates with two pasteis de nata, so nice!!! Breakfast was varied and plentiful, we especially enjoyed the chocolate cake and the pasteis! We are planning to go back to Lisbon and we will definitely be staying at this hotel again. Thank you so much!!! Elisa & Daniel…
When I arrived the staff upgraded my room so I was on the top floor overlooking the square. The room was amazing, staff so helpful and friendly, breakfast was great. Hotel is in an ideal location. I will most definitely be back as my experience was so good.
Loved the hotel. Warm welcome. Room overlooking square. Yes it is small but who stays for more than a few nights. Lovely rustic breakfast clean and friendly staff. Great location for everthing. Would highly recommend. Ask for a map from reception. People checking in and out all the time
We had read lots of reviews about the hotel and we’re concerned that the rooms would be small but decided to stick with it. Agreed the room was cosy however the hotel seemed to make the best out of the space they had. We received a very warm welcome on our check in and we’re acknowledged daily by staff when going in & out. Special mention to Jessica who was so friendly and pleasant. We had a beautiful view of the square. The room was immaculate with everything you could need. It was my husbands birthday on our second day & he received a bottle of sparkling wine and cake in the room which was a lovely added touch. The breakfast was in a lovely room also over looking the square. All food was very fresh and lots of choice. Eggs, pastries, meat & fruit. The staff again were very attentive. The location of this hotel was also an added bonus with lots of restaurants and bars nearby, along with easy access near to tram & train stations. The traffic around the square did get pretty busy however we did not hear a peep in our rooms so top marks for sound proofing. Overall a fabulous little hotel. Don’t be put off with the size of the rooms, just make it work for you. We did !!…
I'm so glad I decided to stay at this hotel during my recent stay in Lisbon. It's location was perfect for commuting to from the airport either by metro or taxi, and as I only had a few days in Lisbon, it was centrally located to all the sights I had planned to see. While the rooms are small (which is to be expected in an older building like this) - I was able to make it work. This was also one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've stayed at. My one suggestion for the rooms though (and I was in a double) would be if possible to fit in a chair (folding event) or a slightly larger table just to get some additional surface space for storage. And while I was on the 1st floor, street noise wasn't bad at all and it was great having a tiny balcony to step out on. I had breakfast included in my rate, and I found it to provide a great variety of different food options (the bread/pastry section was always a delight!). And most importantly- all the staff I interacted with- front desk and breakfast room were friendly, helpful, and just made me feel welcome there! Should I return to Lisbon again, this hotel would be at the top of my list as an option to stay at.…
Flavio and Andre at the reception where amazing!! Great experience, highly recommended! We went to Lisbon for more than a month and from different places visited, this was one of the best customer experiences.
Impossibly small room, no chair, dresser, table. Half a cupboard on the wall which included the safe. The shower room was even smaller!! Nowhere to dry yourself, no space for towels/toiletries. The advertised iron/ironing board in room was not present & would not have fitted anyway. We were on the first floor with a Juliet Balcony which was surprisingly quiet. That said, location excellent, spotlessly clean, breakfast was very good with great choices. The staff were all lovely, especially at Reception who always greeted you & were very helpful. I would try to find another central Hotel with bigger rooms if that is possible next time.
