We just came back from a long weekend in Lisbon and had a fabulous stay at the Occidental Lisboa. We highly recommend it. Lovely rooms, true to a 4 star hotel, and fantastic value for money. Lovely staff and great quality food. We'll be back I'm sure :)
We stayed in Occidental Lisboa for a week while on a group tour. As the hotel's website hints, it is far from the touristy part of Lisbon. A five-minute walk is required to reach a Tram 24 stop which links to hotel to the historic center of Lisbon so we wouldn't have chosen Occidental Lisboa if travelling to Lisbon on our own. However, we're glad that we ended up in Occidental Lisboa. The hotel's website doesn't do the hotel justice. It doesn't mention the coffee and tea making facilities in each room or the handy guide for the 99 TV channels and, of course, because of its own a la carte restaurant, it doesn't mention the nearby restaurants, such as the highly recommended Restaurant "A Valencia". The website does mention the Amoreiras shopping center but, on our one free day, we chose to walk to the El Corte Ingles department store (recommended in the hotel's TripAdvisor reviews) and the adjacent Decathlon store - we're glad we did.…
I really enjoyed my 2 nights stays at this property. Really nice staffs, the breakfast was quite good and really comfortable the room. I really recommend this hotel for Business and for personal trip.
Good location Staff are kind and always smiling Excellent food quality Would be nice to have some free weights at the gym I am due to return to Lisbon in November this year and already decided where I will be staying then
The property is small and room size is questionable Bathrooms are very small and does require rethinking of the design. The building is split with glass partion at every level which is disaster to get from one section of the floor to another if you have family and friends staying at same hotel on different floors. The Parking is complete mess every time you have get out the guest have to take the front office staff to open the gate. There is no mechanism of remotely opening the door which increases quite some time upto 30 mins to take you car out as front desk staff has guest most of the time at the desk. Overall the place requires lot of rethinking on how they would possibly operate going forward in this hyper competitive market and we would not recommend any families to book there stays at this property going forward. …
