Love the design of the hotel, great roof top pool, very comfortable rooms, good location, lovely restaurant and library area to sit, but most of all amazing staff. The hotel is not long open and a couple of teething problems but the staff can’t do enough to help you and are very friendly. Would recommend the hotel and would definitely stay again.

We booked a junior suite for a week and were very happy with the experience. A large bedroom, with seating area and nice en-suite, on the 4th floor. It was very clean - a full change and clean each day, so (in hot weather) it was always a pleasure to go to bed in crisp, clean sheets. The cleaning staff seemed as happy to be there as all their colleagues - on reception, at breakfast and in the bar/outdoor drinks area. Reception staff were always polite and happy to help - for instance, our boarding passes were printed while we had breakfast and our driver was confirmed, with pick up time. That system - hotel booked transfers - worked like clockwork. Breakfasts were excellent - never a shortage of any item, always plenty of staff on hand, immediate, thorough cleaning of evacuated tables - perfect. The breakfast rooms are plenty big enough to cope at the busiest of times and are light and airy. This is a genuine 4 star hotel, in a superb, central location. Although they do not serve hot meals in the evening, we had one excellent meal of cured ham, cheeses, salad, olives and bread - on a hot evening, with a glass of crisp Vinho Verde, or a chilled beer, this was perfect.

We are currently on night 2 of our 4 night stay I have to say this hotel is probably the best hotel I have stayed in in the last 20 years The staff are superb firstly they are all young and everyone of them smiles and helps you with anything you need help with The bar staff are so nice and very informative and the reception staff could not be more helpful The whole place feels like everyone loves working here and that goes a long way The room is quirky but so nice and price wise everything is well priced. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant we will 100% be coming back Lisbon is a wonderful city and the people are amazing Steve & Wendy Lovett

My friend and I chose Browns Central for our last night in Lisbon for easy access to the center and airport. The hotel provides a delicious “welcome drink “ and excellent help with transportation (to the airport) and information. The place had an old school North American lounge vibe and it was VERY dark. In fact it was so dark we had to use our cell phone lights to see in the halls! Comfortable beds, very clean, great location- I recommend it!

Room on the small side and a tiny en suite but ok for two or three nights. Some noise from street - not unexpected from a street side city hotel! Luggage storage available free of charge. Airport Shuttle service can be arranged. Smashing bar. Reasonable prices. Great breakfast. Bistro service during the day in the bar and on the street terrace with a short selection of small plates /tapas style food. Good quality. Happy hour too! The staff were, without exception, really helpful and friendly - reception, breakfast, bar /bistro and cleaning staff could not be faulted!

This is a fantastic hotel. Staff super friendly and professional. Stayed in junior suite which was fab. So comfortable, great bed and shower. Loved the Marshall speaker and nespresso. Spotless clean. Excellent buffet breakfast, kept fresh and well staffed. Central location. 10 out of 10.

Recommended by a friend , we stayed at Browns central for a long weekend. It was absolutely perfect for access to restaurants, shops, bars, trams, the riverfront. We opted for small doubles as 2 friends we enjoy our own space. The rooms faced the street , which although had a small amount of noise in the evening, nothing too loud. The windows opened which is a change. The rooms were well equipped with coffee makers, kettle, fridge, radio, Bluetooth speaker and extremely comfortable beds. Our rooms were spotlessly clean. We arrived early and expected to have to store our bags , but we’re pleasantly surprised when the friendly reception said we could check in. There is a nice relaxed boutique vibe to the hotel, we visited the bar after our day sightseeing and the staff were lovely - they made excellent cocktails We didn’t eat at the hotel as our time was short. The guys on front desk were always helpful and extremely courteous Overall a great place to stay , would definitely stay again and recommend to others

Great. Possibly smallish room, and poor shower fittings. Brilliant staff - very helpful and knowledgeable, superb location, nice rooms, great sound systems in the room to get the Roots Manuva pumpin'. Orientated around city breaks. Dark corridors, very dark corridors. Brilliant two-doored lift - freaks you right out. Sexy books in the bar. Old sexy, not smutty new stuff.

What a wonderful place this is. And what a great bargain. I love Design Hotels and this is truly one of them. My room at the top of the hotel was not just charming. It was sparkling clean and comfortable. The location is unbeatable if your goal is to be able to walk everywhere in Central Lisbon. The staff were very helpful and intuitive. I would love to return here.
