Brown's Central Hotel earns rave reviews for its unbeatable central location, which offers guests easy access to local attractions and dining. The well-equipped rooms, though on the smaller side, are consistently praised for their cleanliness and smart design. Guests admire the variety of the breakfast and the stylish atmosphere of the hotel, even if some spaces feel a bit snug. The service at Brown's Central Hotel is frequently lauded for its helpful and friendly staff, although a few guests have noted the bar service can lag. In terms of value, the hotel is generally considered reasonable, offering affordable drinks and good value for money, with the exception of some finding the breakfast on the pricier side.

Fantastic staff, excellent service and centrally located. Good food and reasonable prices. The hotel is ideally situated for touring Lisbon and the surrounding area. Breakfast was exceptional with plenty of choices and all fresh daily, this hotel would be hard to beat!

Great hotel. Room had everything you could wish for. Plenty of plugs, mirrors and good lighting so no unplugging chargers to use straighteners whilst waiting to boil the kettle. Quirky decor gave the room and bar area an interesting feel.
Queen size bed was very comfortable. Excellent quality blackout/sound reducing curtains so no noise/light interference from the street outside.
Breakfast was served from 7.30 to 11am, this was of good quality and had good variety. 10% off a meal in the Browns Bistro across the street which was good value for money and enjoyable.
40 mins from the airport by tube (1 change) or a 19 euro taxi ride (this was for the return journey, fixed price booked by the hotel)
Would definitely recommend.

What a fantastic hotel, the rooms are fantastic very high standard, despite some previous reviews saying they were small we did not find them small at all. Free arrivals drink a nice bottle of wine in the room free of charge and fantastic stuff to greet you when you arrive. The bar area is really cool and cosy. Breakfast was great lots of choice hot and cold food. Location of the hotel is perfect for everything you can possibly want to do do shopping restaurants sightseeing, take a uber bicycle I'm outside the hotel and go off and explore the city, it's great fun. Remember to go to the LX factory it's a must, very cool lots of restaurants bars independent shops. If you need any help the reception at the hotel of very very helpful and will advise you everything you need to know. I would definitely book this hotel again we absolutely loved it.

Just returned from the browns central hotel in lisbon where me and my family stayed for 4 nights, I've stayed here on two other occasions prior to this trip but i can honestly say that I won't be staying here again nor recommending to any family or friends. Unfortunately we arrived in lisbon under difficult circumstances as the coronavirus was starting to escalate, therefore the hotel had started to put things in place to help avoid the spreading of the virus, ie hand sanitizer in the reception area and dining room and asking people to only sit 2 persons to a table and at every other table. On our arrival we had to wait for our room to be cleaned so we sat in the bar area having a drink, we all sat around a table only for my partners son being told abruptly by a member of the bar staff that he had to sit on another table although there were a group of four Asian males sat together, I didn't say anything at this point, as I mentioned we had to wait for our room so on two occasions I asked at reception if the rooms were ready as I was instructed to do so on arrival, but when I did, this extremely rude individual on reception... female with bleach blonde hair made it very clear that I was inconveniencing her and sighed and rolled her eyes. The next morning we went for breakfast and sat on separate tables as instructed but then noticed six people sat side by side, I then challenged a member of staff, they just apologised and said I don't know what has happened and said she would speak to her manager, the manager was inconspicuous by her absence and the poor girl could only apologise. Following breakfast I went to reception to enquire if the trains and trams were operating as normal as we wanted to go to Belem, the same female with short blech blonde hair replied sarcastically "yes" and rolled her eyes as if I was stupid and should already know this. The next day we were sat in the bar area and our three year old son was playing on the floor with a toy car when a member of the reception staff came running over to us and told us that we should "pay attention" to our son as he could be spreading the virus, this immediately infuriated me so I went to reception to challenge this individual to say that we were all adhering to the hotel rules but it seemed that it was "one rule for one and another rule for others" yet again this rude bleach blonde girl interrupted and started talking over me and kept quoting the hotels policy and never once made eye contact with in all conversatilns I had with her, there is clearly a lack of empathy and customer service skills with this particular individual which I think could be addressed with some training. It was clear that this individual had mentioned us to her colleagues as trouble makers as everytime we went past the reception area we were blanked on most occasions which made it very uncomfortable for us. As mentioned I have stayed here on three occasions and really like the hotel but I honestly think this particular member of staff is letting the hotel down drastically especially as she is on the front line and dealing with customers day in day out.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in December. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the wait staff in their breakfast and bar areas were also very good. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and it was quiet. My only complaint is that the rooms are small AND they make them smaller with the amount of decor they include in the room. Almost every service is covered with something which makes it really hard to put our own things down. We don't spend much time in our room when we travel, but we do need places to set things down (jewelry, books, maps). If they could just edit down the decor and amount of things they provide for coffee or tea it would help.

I have not stayed here yet - so let me preface with that.

I have never had a problem booking a hotel with a baby cot/crib - noted in my reservation & as long as the hotel provides them. Most hotels will inform if they can or cannot accommodate this request immediately after booking.

This hotel cannot guarantee even with a reservation paid in advance - so I am supposed to come to the hotel after traveling with the possibility my baby has nowhere to sleep? How can they not coordinate based on their reservations whether or not it'll be possibly to supply one?

We stayed in this hotel just last week and it was super lovely! Our room was gorgeous, big cosy bed, powerful shower, kettle, coffee maker, mini fridge, all the necessities! We were also happy to see that they had built-in USB ports and adaptors in the room. Very convenient for travellers like us that forgot our adaptor! :)

The decor both in the room and in the lobby was simply stunning. Staff were very friendly on arrival and booked us a taxi on check-out at very short notice.

There is also a vibey bar right across from the hotel that has live music every night, and has fabulous food and cocktails.

Unfortunately, I do have one complaint. After 3 o' clock the hotel does not do food, only nibbles. Steaks etc finish at 3pm which seemed rather bizarre to me (especially for a 4 star hotel). Breakfast was very poor, it was a buffet and very bland.

On our second last morning we arrived down to breakfast at 10.50am (breakfast finishes at 11am). We usually ate breakfast early around 7.30am as we had loads of day trips planned, however this one morning we slept in quite late. We were met by complete hostility in the breakfast room. A rude lady approached us and said "you can have whatever is left but we have other things to do", her tone and attitude towards us was not acceptable in my opinion. Understandably, we did come down 10 minutes before breakfast finished, however if she did not want to let us get our buffet breakfast she could have communicated it to us in a polite manner. Not to mention there was still about 4/5 tables still eating their breakfast. We left and ate somewhere else. I'm hoping part of her rudeness was down to the language barrier, but I'm not convinced.

The location of this hotel is ideal to explore the most important attractions Lisbon has to offer on foot. Connection to public transportation is great as well. The rooms, though they are quite small, are beautifully decorated and have everything one needs. Most of all, the staff at the reception were lovely and helpful for any query one might have. Would definitely stay there again!

Hotel is centrally located within walking distance of almost all tourist attractions. Room was well equipped. Due to COVID, breakfast only served in the room at no additional charge. Worked all week in the cafetaria with a limited noise nuisance due to music but otherwise had a very comfy stay.

Me and my partner stayed here on the 25/8/23 for 3 nights and all i can say is AMAZING.
Staff are lovely and friendly, drinks are reasonably priced and are delicious especially their cocktails.
we had a street view room which was tastefully decorated with a little balcony.
Bed was so comfortable so was the pillows with black out curtains, room had a fridge/mini bar, coffee machine with free pods and an amazing shower.
Perfect location with most things in walking distant, some nice restaurants and bars right on your doorstep

Lx factory and the marina are worth a visit for some nice restaurants, would defiantly recommend doing the sunset cruise at a cost of £76 for two which included wine and cheese board on board.

After two days of sightseeing we decided to go the beach on our final day to give our feet and legs a rest you will need it, i would recommend Praia de Carcavelos which has a lovely wide and long beach with plenty of beach restaurants and sun loungers where you can order your food and drink, these cost 25 euro for two .Uber from Lisbon was 14 euro and took around 20 minutes..ubers are brilliant in Lisbon there is always one only a minute or two away.

Would highly recommend this hotel its just fantastic in every way possible, so thank you to all the staff for making our stay unforgettable.
