Filipe is helpful & accomodating, speaks english so well. He is also the owner of the place. Very clean bedroom with clean linens & towels. It has a TV, small electric fan & portable electric heater for winter. Bedroom has a balcony, with big windows & you can breathe & feel the fresh air! It has sufficient lightings in the room. 3 shared bathroom which are all clean . The facade of the building is old but when you go up to the hostel, you can immediately feel the cleanliness & nice scent of the place. You feel that you are @ home when you are in the kitchen. I recommend this place , 4 min walk to baixa/chiada metro but DO not use google map or maps me, coz it directs you to a longer route. Nice location near restaurant, coffee shops. If ever you stay in this place, please indicate the exact time of your arrival because it does not have a reception area, you have to call Filipe if you would arrive earlier because NOone would open the big door for you. Good thing, centric place. When we got there nobody opened. Me had to phone the owner. During our stay the same occurred to other passengers. There is nobody there to help you. Towels are not changead, one soap for 4 days! Always the same blanket. You can use a kitchen but it dosent have knifes, forks. The patio is mixed with a tender. When you enter you can:finish raising the stairs. Light stops. It s not an hotel, only hostel without personal to help. It has a good photographer to make the place look much more better in internet than whay it really is.
I am not satisfied with my stay at MyRoom Lisboa. It started with the checkin. The owner sent me an email with the question about the arrivaltime. I answered that but I needed to wait for 2 hours. When I checked in the room was not ready so an other hour waiting. That is a long time when you have only 2 days in Lisbon. The checkin was chaotic. The owner mentioned me 3 times wrong by my name, did not ask about how I want to pay etc. During the stay i found out that a lot of things are not good in this place: - it is not easy to find. Without google maps it is impossible. There is only a small note next to the doorbell. I missed it twice. - the frontdoor from the street is not easy to open - the showers are not clean and not hygenic. One of the bathrooms smells. There is mold in the bathroom. In the beginning the door could not close easily, later this was solved. - The showerscreen is brown at the downside. it should be replaced - In both bathrooms the toilet seats are broken - The room was oke but the beds are not fine. The matrass slips from the bed when you move. When I checked out nobody was there. I sent the owner an sms about my checkout, but he did not react. I sent the owner an email about this bad experience, he did not react. Location is central in Lisbon. That is the only positive point.…
SCAM. I booked online and had to put my credit card to hold the room. At the property, they demanded I pay in cash before departing. I didn't think much of it, because this is common for smaller hotels. Two weeks later they charged my credit card. The first time I brought it to their attention, they said they'd call me back later. They are now ignoring all my calls and other messages. I've now been charged double for sub-par accommodation.
Good rooms and an excellent kitchen that you can use.Good wi-fi. The bathrooms and public spaces are cleaned everyday. Not suitable for people with locomotion problems (the streeet is a light slope, and there are stairs). Good location, near to a subway station and bus stops. Need some repairs and desinsetization.
