Excellent hotel in every way…..beautiful, friendly and professional staff, comfortable rooms, delicious food, and beautiful views from the restaurant and rooftop terraces. And the location is superb…such fun to walk to wonderful restaurants, shops and sights.
I spent 2 nights in this hotel for a business trip in Lisbon. The staff was very friendly and professional. Rooftop view is fabulous, especially if you can see the sun rise. Location is very central. best restaurants in town are 5 minutes away by foot.
The staff at the hotel were extremely professional. Rooms were clean and beds were beyond comfortable. The restaurant offered many breakfast options; the rooftop bar was also a nice place to grab a drink before dinner. The bartenders mixed unique cocktails. A great stay-walkable to restaurants in Chiado and the waterfront.
Excellent hotel, location is perfect, staff first class, service is A plus. Thank you everyone for the best new year's eve dinner celebration, for all the additional help with every single aspect in the hotel.
Absolute excellence! This hotel was just perfect for us. Everything was as it should be. Our suite was beautiful with so much room it felt like we were in a whole apartment. We had a wonderful view from our room of the Praca Luis de Camoes monument and square which was always entertaining watching the trams go by. All of our requirements were catered for during our stay, and all of the staff were exceptional - friendly, professional, and efficient. The location is very central, and right outside of the hotel you can catch many different trams, including the number 28 which is the famous old tram that takes you through many of the old streets of Lisbon. We ate breakfast each morning on the Terrace. The food and service was always excellent and so was the view of the River Tagus and surroundings. We ate one evening in the BAHR restaurant for my special birthday meal. It did not disappoint and we had a wonderful meal. There is nothing negative I can say about this hotel. Completely top notch! Top tip - I’d highly recommend hiring a Tuk Tuk for the day (or half a day). We had a fantastic day seeing all of the main Lisbon sights with a wonderful driver/guide. It’s a great was to see so much of Lisbon is a short time.…
We are spending 5 nights here with our teens in two rooms. We have a jr. Suite and they are sharing the room next door. The accommodations are spacious and luxurious. We've been taking advantage of the soaking tub in our room after long days walking around the crowded streets of Lisbon as we are here between Xmas and New Years and so are all the tourists like us! We are enjoying our time here immensely. We've had our fair share of Cherry wine from getting greeted with it at the door to complimentary glasses in our room. The service has been great and accommodating. The breakfast situation is wonderful as we get to eat it on a beautiful terrace and choose from an incredible a la carte menu. This is a perfect centrally located respite inside a very busy, vibrant, and fun city!
We nailed it... we found the best hotel in Lisbon. I am sure there are a few others to consider but location, look, feel, service, FFandE... and Breakfast - this is the hotel. I would recommend this hotel without many buts..... Rooms are small but very nicely appointed. Service is stellar. Hotel has a rooftop breakfast parlor - high praise for the food - service was just ok, one female server with long brown hair was actually a little mean. Loved my room Loved the bed - nice quality linens and top quality bed. Loved the location - right where you want to be. Loved the experience.
Loved my stay at the Barrio Alto. Great rooms and an awesome staff but my favorite part was the breakfast on the terrace in the AM. I like to sleep late but was able to be motivated by the best breakfast ever.
We stayed at the Barrio Alto Hotel on our vacation in Lisbon. We lover the service, the location and especially the rooftop restaurant and bar. We went there every night before dinner. 2 times we ate there. The staff at the hotel was awesome and helped us navigate the city. I would stay there again
My wife and I stayed here prior to a four da trip inland and our only regret was that we couldn't spend the full four nights here. The rooms are sumptuous, food excellent, service impeccable, location great, what more can I say. We'll definitely be back next year for a long weekend at least.
