Breakfast is not worth it. There is not a single plug near the bed, this should not happen in the technological age we live in.
The rooms are cleaned very late, we went to rest after eating and the beds still had to be made, we even returned after dinner and one of the rooms was still unmade…

We had room 305, at the end of the corridor so nice and quiet. Strange piped music whenever you enter the room, but just press the top button on the control to turn off.
Comfy bed, parquet floor. Safe and mini fridge. Tv with BBC and Sky News. Hairdryer in bathroom. Bath with shower over.
Need keycard to use the lift. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent, continental, cereals, coffee, juice, cooked breakfast, cakes, bread etc.
Recommend the little restaurant directly across the road in the yellow building.

Now onto the negatives, the rooms and style are extremely dated, the air con did not work at all during our stay to which the window had to be left open however the street can be quite noisy and busy.
The safety standards in this hotel are a complete disgrace, on my second day I went to use the hotel gym, the equipment is very basic and the area is not very spacious. The routine was going as planned until I used the TRX straps that were hooked into the ceiling, I didn’t even place a fraction of my weight onto the straps before the hook immediately flew out of the ceiling and straight onto my head. I fell straight to my knees and saw blood dripping onto the floor. My friend ran to the reception and requested help from the receptionist, who assumed it was a small cut and leisurely made her way over to the gym before realising the severity of the incident.
About 30 minutes of basic treatment was provided by the receptionist who asked if I would like to go to the hospital. I was unsure of the severity of the incident as I couldn’t see the cut but my head was throbbing throughout the incident and decided I should go to the hospital to receive more appropriate treatment. The hotel called for a taxi to take me there (to which we had to pay for) and I was treated at the hospital after being there for 7 hours and returned back to the hotel in the early hours of the morning.
After all this, the compensation that was offered by the hotel was a free breakfast for 1 morning. I’ve later been chasing the hotel on numerous occasions to arrange for a more appropriate level of compensation for the severity of the incident and have received extremely lazy replies back, with a large majority of my emails being ignored after over a month of attempting to get this resolved appropriately. It is truly shocking and I urge anyone to consider looking elsewhere before booking this hotel.

The service - the service was awesome. Amazing and friendly staff, clean rooms (by the way, they were cleaned every day as well as the towels were changed). For sure it will be our 1st choice when we return to Lisbon.
Thanks for the hospitality!

1. Despite having to make three room changes, the staff were professional, accommodating, and helpful. The first room we received didn’t have two twin beds. To me, this was the tour company Globus not providing the proper instructions since it happened at another hotel on the tour. The second room didn’t have a working air conditioner. They checked the third room before brining us to it.
2. The reception was pretty helpful. They provided a map and gave good directions.
3. We had an included dinner in the hotel restaurant with our tour. I thought the meal was very well done and enjoyed the chicken dish. It was a nice intro to local cuisine.
4. The location is close to a subway. I thought the neighbourhood looked nice with a few restaurants across the street from the hotel. There was also a nice mall Court Ingles which was about four blocks away. It had bank machines on the floor with a big grocery store.
What could be improved/didn’t like:
1.While, the breakfast was fine and more on the continental side – I found there were too short staffed. There was only one person working like crazy trying to clear tables. There was sometimes another person at the door taking room numbers.
2. Despite the three-room changes, the A/C on the last night ended up being more like a fan. It felt like sleeping in a sauna. We assumed the problem was only our room until we spoke to others on the tour. It was obviously a problem with the entire air conditioning system. If I spent more than one night in sauna like conditions, then I would have rated it a 2 versus 3 – simply due to extreme discomfort.
3. The elevators are small and can only fit two people with luggage.
Other:
1. It is about 30 to 35 euros for a taxi from the airport. I suggest checking that the driver takes credit cards. We were told only cash after arriving.
