This is a little oasis to retreat to while you stay in the bustling city of Lisbon. Not in the historical centre, but so well-connected on public transport, it is easy to get everywhere. There isn't the bustle of crowds of tourists.

Carlos has created a wonderful apartment to

Whatever Art was absolutely delightful! Comfortable room, spotlessly clean bathrooms, nice robe and slippers, and lovely spots to sit while eating breakfast. The food was plentiful, with freshly baked cakes every morning! And even though it was a bit away from the main tourist ar

Everything about this place is amazing. It's like being welcomed into someone's home rather than staying in a hotel - and I mean that in the best possible way. The welcome was wonderful, the building and rooms are beautiful and the common areas are perfect for hanging out and cha

Whatever Art B&B is a really beautiful B&B with a lot of charm. Carlos, the charming host, made us feel welcomed as friends of the house. The subway is just a few minute’s walk away and we enjoyed the quietness after our excursions to the buzzling town.

I was so happy to return to Whatever B&B for 4 nights after a very short visit in 2013. I have always wanted to come back to Lisbon to spend more time seeing the sights. What a wonderful city.
Nothing had changed at Whatever. Still wonderful hospitality and a very comfortable sta

No elevator, I assume. Are any rooms (double bed or twins) on a lower level. We do not want to drag bags up 4 flights no matter how great the view.
I need ensuite room.
Rooms share 2 bathrooms and there are no en-suite rooms. Bathrooms are spotless and sharing was not a problem. .

do you have free parking? thank you Marilyn
There is no parking lot that belongs to the B&B, but there's a big parking garage at Campo Pequeno.

Plan to spend 7 weeks in Europe in 2015. 6 nights in Lisbon is enough to have a good tour of the country/Lisbon?
Yes, you could spend six nights in Lisbon alone but trains and buses make it easy to travel from there to Sintra, Porto and the rest of Portugal. Carlos of Whatever Art B and B is a great guide for maximising the time you have for your stay. He knows where the best fado dinners are in Lisbon! Bon voyage.

Hello we are older and would need a room that is quiet? is that possible...We would be there October 17 to 20th...Thank you
We are in our late 60s and were there in May and had the room at the end of the hall with patio access, next to one of the bathrooms. Noise was never an issue. Carlos is a fabulous host and will do everything to make you comfortable. Do go to Fado at Laura's per Carlos' recommendation. Nice2go

"Room 2 is 'cosy' for two people. Rooms 2 & 3 are next to busy road daytime. Room at back overlooks garden."
"Ask to be away from the street. There is construction going on next door."
"Avoid rooms on street side as they can be noisy (especially when national day approaches)."
"Book Room 6 for direct access to the patio for breakfast"
"The room in back near the courtyard and the back patio is very nice."
