Everything works fine at Casa amora. Beginning with a very thoughtful service, the managers are really concerned that your experience come up remarkable at Lisbon. They will help you in any aspect of your trip, from transportation, to anywhere to go, they really do a responsible concierge service. The rooms are comfortable, but bear in mind that you are in a... Great B&B in Lisbon, very friendly owner and staff, beautiful room and a truly amazing breakfast each morning, with many home made treats. The metro is very close for easy access to the main sights of Lisbon.

Casa Amora is a 3 minute walk from the Rato metro stop (end of yellow line); an easy journey from the airport. Juan is very welcoming giving a lot of useful information. Descriptions of the rooms are on the website but the duplex room had a very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. Breakfasts are taken in a courtyard, immediately... More

This is a very overdue review. My wife and I had a very nice stay here and stayed in a lovely annexe to the main building which I'd really recommend. Breakfast in the patio was nice and sunny even in late March. Nice location and friendly hosts.

The guest house is very tastefully furnished, comfortable and attractive but the most impressive thing was the staff's incredible attention to detail, constant availability and offers of coffee, port, snacks etc at all hours. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge choice and delicious home made cakes. It was lovely sitting in the secluded courtyard in the evening. The location is... More

This was the first time I had ever visited Lisbon, unfortunately it turned out that we visited when temperatures were in the high 30s. Not much fun if you are used to English summers. But we were saved by the outstanding care and food on offer at Casa Amora. It seemed that they couldn't do enough to make our trip... More

This place is an absolute gem, a home away from home! Not only situated in an authentic and quiet part of Lisbon (near the city centre and close to Principe Real with its bustling scene of shops, restaurants and bars as well as the upscale Avenida da Liberdade), the place itself is composed of two ancient houses full of charm,... A very friendly and rigorous welcome made us feel right at home from the outset. The breakfast area was a little oasis of calm, and the food on offer was extensive, fresh and tasty. The room suite we had was across the little alley, but no less handy. Clean, bright and well furnished in a low-key but very tasteful style.... More

I recently had a lovely four-night stay at the Casa Amora Guesthouse. From the moment of arrival, I was impressed with both the staff and premises. Luis, one of the owners, welcomed me personally and took the time to sit down in the hotel's lovely courtyard to essentially have a mini consultation about my visit to Lisbon that really helped... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Amora is a typical building of Lisbon’s early twentieth century petite bourgeoisie, renovated in 2012, with a small outdoor patio for rest or meals and 5 bedrooms (all with bathroom). Each room pays homage to one of the great figures of Portuguese art (painting, music, literature, film) of the last century. The process of renewal and adaptation carefully kept all the decorative elements existing in the rooms (plaster) and exterior (tiles, balcony), introducing a color palette that contributes to a peaceful and relaxing environment. Casa Amora is located in one of the nicest and most central districts of Lisbon, Praça das Amoreiras. In this neighborhood, where the 18th century Aqueduct (that survived the great Lisbon earthquake of 1755) reaches and end, Casa Amora is neighbor to Water Museum (Museu da Mae de Agua) and the Vieira da Silva / Arpad Szenes museum. Residents and visitors have easy and direct access to the neighborhoods of antique shops (Rua de Sao Bento and Rua da Escola Politecnica), historic districts (Bairro Alto and Chiado), Avenida da Liberdade and its fashion shops as well as the shopping center Amoreiras, all at walking distance. ... more   less
