Casa Amora is a typical building of Lisbon’s early twentieth century petite bourgeoisie, renovated in 2012, with a small outdoor patio for rest or meals and 5 bedrooms (all with bathroom). Each room pays homage to one of the great figures of Portuguese art (painting, music, literature, film) of the last century. The process of renewal and adaptation carefully kept all the decorative elements existing in the rooms (plaster) and exterior (tiles, balcony), introducing a color palette that contributes to a peaceful and relaxing environment. Casa Amora is located in one of the nicest and most central districts of Lisbon, Praça das Amoreiras. In this neighborhood, where the 18th century Aqueduct (that survived the great Lisbon earthquake of 1755) reaches and end, Casa Amora is neighbor to Water Museum (Museu da Mae de Agua) and the Vieira da Silva / Arpad Szenes museum. Residents and visitors have easy and direct access to the neighborhoods of antique shops (Rua de Sao Bento and Rua da Escola Politecnica), historic districts (Bairro Alto and Chiado), Avenida da Liberdade and its fashion shops as well as the shopping center Amoreiras, all at walking distance.

The excellent combination of a charming and high-quality boutique house with a familiar and welcoming atmosphere makes Casa Amora a very special and unique place. Here some facts: INTERIOR & LOCATION Regarding the interior, you see and feel that the owners made very thoughtful and well-chosen selections in between classic Portuguese and modern style. The rooms are spacious and super clean. Depending on your booking, there are bigger and smaller rooms as well as studios and suites available. Casa Amora is very well located. You can reach nearly everything easily by foot. Great restaurants, bars, shops of local brands and terraces with amazing views above Lisbon are just a few steps away. BREAKFAST: Casa Amora sets high-quality standards and serves you a super delicious breakfast with regional Portuguese products. Superb fresh juices, self-made Banana bread, amazing egg dishes of your choice - just to mention a few highlights… SERVICE: The owners Luis and João are inspirations and role models for Guesthouse managers. No more words needed. All in all, we were so happy to had the chance to stay at Casa Amora and will definitely come again. One of the best choices you can make for Lisbon!

Unique and charming!!! A wonderful place to come "home" to after a busy day in Lissabon. We did everything by foot - located very convinient for tours downtown, yet far enough away to recouperate. Great and fresh breakfast for a grand start. Thank you, Juan and Maria 😘

I cannot recommend this delightful little guesthouse in a quiet Lisbon neighbourhood highly enough. The owner, Juan, is incredibly helpful with recommendations of what to do and where to eat in this fascinating and vibrant city. Our last night was dinner with a Fado performance which was amazing! Juan has done everything in his power to ensure that both staff and guests are well protected from Covid-19. Despite the new restrictions there was still a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We had a double room with a bath tub which was beautifully furnished and felt quite luxurious. The breakfasts are epic and you won't go hungry! The guesthouse is close to the Metro and tram 24 so you are well connected to getting around to all the major sites. There is also a fabulous, old fashioned bar right next door which does great cocktails and the city's largest park is located nearby too. Don't hesitate to book this gorgeous place.

Just spent an amazing three days/two nights here with Juan and Maria. From the moment we stepped in the front door and asked to step on a sanitizing matt we knew we had made the right choice. Juan is the perfect host explaining everything in detail sanitizing our bags, our personal items always with a beautiful smile which is covered by a mask but his expressive gentle eyes do not betray whats being covered for our protection. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the seal on the door assures you the room has been thoroughly sanitized. The bed! I have a back issue and I haven’t slept so well away from home in years! No corners were cut with furnishings down to the Smeg bar fridge and coffee machine in each room. Breakfast is all homemade and beautifully prepared by Maria. Fresh squeezed orange juice any style of egg along with a daily special. What a way to start your day - you won’t have to stop for lunch! It was my partner’s birthday while there and Maria made a personal size birthday cake adorned with a candle and sparkler without being asked. Juan had taken notice of her date of birth when checking in. It is this eye for detail that sets Casa Amore apart from the other wonderful B&Bs we have stayed at throughout Europe. We stayed in a loft style room with separate and large living room with floor to ceiling window and access to an outdoor patio area where we enjoyed a glass of wine after a long day of sightseeing. Perfect location easy to get around Lisbon great home base. Juan never tires of giving travellers his recommendations for whatever you are seeking. We will DEFINITELY be back.
