Stayed two nights with my wife at this "Small Luxury Hotel". Locations is IDEAL, right in the center between all the must see locations. But due to the very central location it can be a bit noisy in the night (people, traffic). The Hotel is design, very nice. The breakfast is good, just didn't finde the "gourmet" section (because they...

This is an amazing funky hotel in Lisbon. Staff are so very friendly and helpful and gave us such great advice about restaurants. The rooms are really very creative in their interior and all levels have different themes. We stayed in the jungle level, so rooms were quite dark and friends stayed in the pop art level where the rooms...

Great modern boutique hotel in a fantastic location for exploring Lisbon. Only let down is the staff, we booked two rooms but they only gave us one. We managed to get it sorted out in the end. Modern rooms, cosy but comfortable. Flat screen tv, air con and free wifi. great for a weekend break.

We loved this hotel. The location is amazing, right in the middle of everything, walking distance to many sites, easy access to public transport. Many restaurants right outside the hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly and going out of their way to ensure you have what you need. The design is fun and interesting. The breakfast provides a large...

The hotel has the best location for a week end in LIS. The hotel has a very and with a nice original design touch. The staff is very friendly and professional. Some of the rooms are, indeed, rather small. A medium, (M), room does not necessarily mean that it’s bigger in size, but it can be that it offers a...

We had a very nice 5 nights stay in this beautiful hotel. We were upgraded from S-size room to size-M and it was big enough for us (couple). It would have been nice to stay even in a XL-room, it looked superb. Had no breakfast in the hotel, there was a lot of alternatives very close to the hotel. Staff...

I can't say enough about this place. The location is unsurpassable. Right in city center few meters from Rua Augusta (a pedestrianized street lined with shops, cafes and restaurants). Very close to all forms of transportation. From the airport take the Aerobus and it drops you off across the street from hotel. You can take the same bus back to...

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighborhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Enjoying the best possible location in Lisbon, this modern boutique design hotel is born, like a phoenix, from the ancient structures of one of the first luxury hotels in Portugal. The daring use of the colour Lilac in its façade, right on the traditional Rossio Square, denounce to the world the purposes of reinvention and exclusivity offered to a happy few. ... more   less
